This was a great spot to stop and stay warm during the winter. Our pizza was delicious. Crust was thin and crispy but still had a nice chew. We got the Tuscan pizza and the Meat Lovers pizza, both were well seasoned and topped generously. I loved their house made hot sauce. It was not overly “hot”, and had a well seasoned, fresh, and ️ pepper taste. Great spot, friendly host and wait staff. Cups were a little spotted and stained but it wasn’t too much of a bother.

We enjoyed our meal. We went in to escape the snow and honestly had no expectations. Wen ordered a couple of items to share and it was significantly better than expected. Possibly because of the weather, we both enjoyed the minestrone soup. Prices per person below includes alcohol.

This is a wonderful place to bring your friends and have a great time. Italian pizzas were amazing! Very soft and chewy. Love the cheese with mushroom. Burger did not disappoint. Try their mocktails! They were a hit.

This cute restaurant is exactly what you would expect from a major tourist spot: efficient, affordable, and fast-paced. As an Ottawa resident for a while, it was my first time visiting a restaurant right in the ByWard Market. We went there on New Year’s Eve 2025.
The service was efficient, and the servers were friendly; however, despite having our own space, the atmosphere felt rushed because of the New Year. Even around 10 PM, people were still coming in. I wouldn’t consider this a place for spending hours, but if you’re looking for a quick drink with pizza and wings, this is the spot for you.
We enjoyed our drinks and food, although the pizza was a bit on the saltier side that day. The ambiance was great, and the servers were friendly, too. I can’t wait to visit again in the summer for an outdoor drinking experience!

Went at 1pm, not too busy. Quick service. Tasty but not great value for the adult meals.

The pizza here is super good! Inside can be a bit noisy, but overall it has a good atmosphere. You can even watch them cook the pizza in the big pizza oven. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. Pretty kid-friendly as well – they had a high chair for us. Highly recommend!

The Grand Pizzeria & Bar in ByWard Market had a great Tuscan pizza—tender crust with fresh toppings like chicken and onions. It was spectacular pizza place. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were disappointing, as the chicken didn’t seem well cooked. Worth visiting for the pizza, overall, it’s highly recommended for the pizza lovers in the downtown Ottawa.

Amazing food! We were a party of 7 and tried each other’s dishes and all were great! Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place for a meal and people watching at ByWard. Sangria was huge. Both pasta dishes were great. My only criticism would be to make the portion size just a tad smaller with cheaper price, so that you could order appetizer and not feel like over eating.

I saw the wood-fired pizza sign and knew I had to stop in for dinner.
One note: a low-lit, romantic restaurant might not be the prime audience for Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. The pop playlist really threw off the vibe. Please bring on some funky or smooth jazz to match your amazing menu- I promise people will love it.
Now, the food? Fantastic. The calamari was incredibly fresh and flavourful. The pizzas were everything a wood-fired pizza should be: fresh ingredients, fantastic sauce, thin yet structured dough, and that perfect crunchy-soft crust.
One small suggestion -plates used for appetizers should be changed out for guests before the main dishes arrive.
If you’re on the hunt for truly great pizza, this is your spot.
