Food and service were great. Mark was our waiter and made an excellent recommendation on how to have the duck cooked. It was delicious! My friend had the fillet and loved it. Drinks were good- a little weird to see the ice cream sundae style bright red maraschino cherries in a fancy drink- maybe get some of the darker cocktail style cherries?

Jazzy, artsy, relaxed little cafe. Delicious food, pickled onions on Salmon Toastie hit the savory spot. Our server Andrea was super! She was friendly and treated us right. We went home with a great dessert too.

In town for work multiple times and have never been here! It was excellent!! Pimento cheese appetizer, pork chop and cheese cake for dessert!! All freshly made and I can’t wait to come back in town and try other menu items !! My waitress Andrea was awesome it was nice and relaxing after all day meetings.

The food here was AMAZING, the staff was so nice and great. You definitely feel cared for while you are here. The space isn’t huge so it’s not too loud. they are typically reservation only but they can sometimes squeeze you in. I was very impressed by the service. I am not from Jefferson and I definitely recommend here and will eventually come back.

The Grand Cafe is becoming one of my favorite places to eat in all of mid-Missouri.
Although the service isn’t what I would classify as “white glove”, the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about what’s on the menu.
At this point I’ve had just about everything on the menu. They do have daily specials which I highly recommend. The desserts and sides are changed daily and seasonally. Most everything is made in house.
The steak frites never disappoint.
The bread pudding is huge! And delicious!
The prices are very reasonable too. You could honestly pay twice as much if this same restaurant was in Chicago or New York.
Check it out and save room for the desserts!

It was our first visit and our server Mark was absolutely so sweet, had the BEST recommendations! Super attentive and funny, the highlight of our visit really. He created a safe space and atmosphere for me and my husband. My husband got the Ribeye and I got the lamb chops. His steak was so perfect! Lol We definitely enjoyed ourselves.

The young woman with dark hair and bangs who was my waitress (2/26 around noon) was absolutely stellar. The other woman who was a bit older, not as great because she was a little peeved that as a single diner I didn’t want to sit at the bar.
The steak frites were horrible, not sure that meat was even steak. Rubbery and wet and tasted like pork. Looking around, the salmon on people’s plates wasn’t even pink. Bad quality meat here. Nice atmosphere though.

This was our first time to visit.
Nothing spectacular about our meals. One had to be sent back because it was cold. Also very slow to come out.
Our waitress was very unpleasant.
It’s susposed to be fine dining. The building is neat but definitely doesn’t have a fine dining vibe. We may give it another shot but definitely not a place I will crave.

Outstanding! The taste, quality, service, and ambience are all top-notch.
I was in Jefferson City overnight for a work trip. I ate at the Grand Cafe for dinner (Airline Chicken) and enjoyed it so much that I returned the next day for lunch (Cobb salad). Both meals and experiences were fantastic.
I spend a lot of time in major metropolitan areas (I live in one and travel to others for work). The Grand Cafe stacks up very well against many foodie-recommended restaurants in big cities I have tried. Highly recommend!
