Great brunch place, yummy French food. Croque Madame & Pain Perdue are pretty rich!

My experience here has been absolutely positive. An honest place to get honest cuisine. The French theme is adorable and fits well within Santa Carla’s historic district. The atmosphere is charming and the owners are kind people. The food is totally fresh and clean. The coffee is fresh as well, so don’t miss out on this place!

Pat welcomed us to her restaurant right when we arrived and it felt just like we had known her for ages and were coming back for a visit. She shared stories with us at the table between serving other patrons and talking with them as if they were best friends as well. The rest of the staff was just as kind and incredibly attentive. The restaurant had a wonderfully close family feeling and felt like home away from home. The food was incredible, French inspired, just the right sized portions, and you could definitely taste just how fresh everything was. We ordered French pressed coffee and they brought it out and pressed it right on our table in front of us. It was some of the best coffee I’ve had and it was served in the cutest mismatched teacups. The live entertainment could be heard at the perfect volume throughout the restaurant and they played a variety of genres that were perfect for relaxing. Flowers, vines, and other greenery was everywhere you looked and each “pod” of the restaurant had a different feeling to it from coffee shop to flower patch to backyard patio to vintage storehouse turned restaurant. If you’re passing through, come in and have a chat, get some good food, and rest before you get back on your way.

We wandered in looking for a host, and ended up near the coffee bar. After a minute or so we asked a waitress walking by to be seated, and we were promptly taken to an indoor table and given a blanket for our baby as it was a bit brisk outside. The decor was fun and old fashioned, and it seemed to be a fairly laid back spot but with friendly service. We enjoyed reading about the history of the restaurant site. The coffee was wonderful, and the food was satisfying, reasonably priced, and served in European portions, which I liked. The owner came and greeted us and was very friendly and kind. We will be back!

This restaurant is a gem. The owner is a French lady and her husband and both are very friendly and VERY interesting “salt of the earth” type of people. The menu is fantastic, I haven’t been disappointed so far. The outdoor seating is a picturesque setting and having misters overhead will help cool you down on hot days. The landscaping and old pioneer historic building as well as the random trinkets hanging all about provide an eclectic atmosphere that rivals any big time restaurant you’d find in a major city

The experiences I’ve had here have been nothing short of remarkable everytime I’ve been here. I have never ever had bad service in the 5 times I’ve been. I’ve never waited for a seat and my servers have always been very attentive. The only time you wait for a seat is when it’s packed because of how good it is. The food is why you come here. Homemade, authentic, portions are appropriate, absolutely delicious. The decor and scenery is very quaint and romantic. Rose gardens, vinery, water features, live music, indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a very beautiful place. Would definitely recommend.

Want for lunch and had the quiche it was delicious. Looked at the pricing for dinner and it’s $50 a plate for a 4 course meal. Not the friendliest on pricing but I’m sure it’s delicious as well. Very cute place the decor is to die for. It’s so romantic. I will definitly be going back. Outdoor seating only so be prepared for the heat.

Had a Thanksgiving week breakfast there with our family. The service was terrible. Waited forever for our food which came in waves so that we could not eat together. Many had finished their meal before others even received their food. The food was overpriced and was extremely small portions.

Really good food, nice atmosphere. The service was below par. The waitress did apologize for the long wait (it took 20 minutes to get menus), and said they were super busy, but the restaurant was less than half full. The food was honestly extremely good, but the portions were on the small side.

My husband made a reservation this morning and was told 7pm. We pulled up. Nobody there and the sign said 6-8. There was people working but no customers. I said we had a reservation and I was told no I only have 3 people (she didn’t ask our name?) So once she found our name made us feel bad for our name being on the wrong sheet. Ok mistake but then she loudly started telling the other worker how she wasn’t prepared for more then 3 couples and there’s not enough food. The pictures looked elegant and at $50 a plate you’d THINK there would be better book keeping, service as well as professionalism. Plastic tablecloths??? So with that and feeling so unwelcome we decided to leave. Thank you for ruining a nice evening I was actually really excited about and our date night.
