I never ever right a review unless fully needed. Ok so this shop was always my go to for bagels until my last visit.
ordered two bagels with bacon egg and cheese. let’s start with them first. when I got home they had ketchup on both after I was asked and said no ketchup. so I had to drive them back just to get two more sandwiches to get home to see that they only gave me
one egg on each bagel and a half of slice of cheese on each sandwich and the bacon was an insult they put the tiniest piece
on each one. my sandwich wasn’t worth more then 4.00. I was really mad to see what they did. mean while I spent 9.00 a bagel they also charge .90 cents for a slice of cheese ontop of the 7.59 egg bagel. We were so disappointed in our bagels. 20.00 for two bagels they better be good.
let’s not talk about the half of pound of cheese I bought the guy who sliced the cheese he sliced the cheese on the meat slicer or a dirty slicer. all of the cheese had food particles in between all the slices. it was so disgusting we threw the half of pound right into the garbage. disgusting and totally disappointing at 12.99 a pound.
now let’s get to the salads I purchased. the cole slaw was starting to turn sour. had that tanging feeling on your tongue. we had to throw that away as well. 8.99 a pound and it was disgusting. Now onto the potato salad very runny also like it was sitting there for a few days. and the Mac salad was ok.
Now the veggie cream cheese. 12.99 a pound. it was ok. price is way too high for cream cheese but like I said it was ok.
now the bagels. about the bagels they are always pretty decent. but what is up with the size of them lately they are shrinking. the bagels now fit in the palm of your hand. they really cut back on the size which is disappointing you can now fit two dozen in some brown bag. for 18.50 a dozen that brown bag should be filled to the top. not just half way because the bagels are tiny now.
Honestly I am disappointed after spending 64.00. I feel like if a store is charging these prices they need to make sure
everything is perfect. by checking the orders and making sure the salads are not spoiled or spoiling. and if someone has to drive all the way back to the store because of their error they should at least make a better sandwich don’t punish the customer for their mistake. also they could have offered me a couple free bagels for my time of their mistake.
My family will not be returning here. bagels shops are at every corner.

Everytime I go in this bagel store they either get the order wrong or overcharge. I handed the lady my order in writing because they always get it wrong and wound up in the end over charging me (accidentally) for 6 extra bagels that I did not order and when I called to complain she knew before I could even say why I was calling to complain that she over charged me. This is an on going issue. Bunch of crooks who work there

I’m giving them two stars because of the price gouging when ordering delivery. The order I place in store is $9 and change vs. the over $16 I pay to have it delivered. They increase the cost of the salad by $1.50 right off the bat. Then they hit you with a $1 online ordering fee AND a .99 delivery fee (which does NOT go to the driver), then on top of that is the taxes and, justifiably, the driver tip. So the same exact salad costs almost $7 more because of the up charge and fees. Also, if you order pick up online, they automatically tack on a tip! Pretty sneaky. And forget calling in the order. They refuse to take delivery orders over the phone. Nice lack of customer service. I actually found a better deli close by that also has great salads for much more reasonable prices and I’ll most likely be going there from now on.

Hands down the best catering experience I ever had!! It was a last minute party my family asked me to host since cousins from out West unexpectedly visited ( that’s another story ). This was on a Friday and we were looking to throw a party on Saturday afternoon. I called The Gourmet Bagel Co and explained my situation. The owners were fantastic and extremely accommodating given the short notice. They went through the menu and made suggestions for the amount of people I had. The next day they delivered amazing platters of wraps, salads and mini sandwiches that my family loved. The food was simply amazing! They use really good ingredients and didn’t cut any corners on the presentation. My wife was thrilled and insists we only cater from them in the future. Thanks for helping on such short notice and delivering an amazing meal for an unexpected event

My first time going today and it was a little intimidating. It was busy, but yet the staff was keeping everything moving, which meant either they were super fast or everybody in front of me already knew what they wanted. But when it came to me and I told him it was my first time I didn’t feel rushed, and the encounter was actually pleasant. Food is delicious and well worth the price. I will be going again.

I do not live in NY, I am on a work trip and today I discovered The Gourmet Bagel Co. In the morning I enjoyed a simple egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. While in the store I noticed their Super Food Grain Bowl station and decided to return for lunch. I ordered the Spicy Buddha Bowl and it was so good. The store offers quite a selection of bowls and I wish I had discovered them earlier, I definitely would have eaten there every day. The Spicy Buddha Bowl came as advertised. Ordering online was simple and allowed for modification to orders plus had a special instructions section. The value for the Bowls is excellent. I whole heartedly recommend The Gourmet Bagel Co to anyone in the area. One last comment, the staff are very friendly and look after their customers. I wish (and recommend) a Gourmet Bagel was in South Philly.

Above expectations every single time!!! I was in a rush today and totally shouldn’t have stopped but couldn’t resist their amazing food. I ordered the Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken Bacon waffle sandwich and a poppyseed bagel with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese. The bagel was fantastic, the sandwich was not as exciting as I had hoped.
