Well I don’t like giving bad reviews but I hope that this will help to make things better for the next customer. We went there for Valentine’s Day and it happened to be our 40th anniversary so we had been looking forward to this meal. First I like to say the service was wonderful and I was given a rose at the table which was wonderful. We had the oysters and they were delicious but the shrimp scampi appetizer was full of hard cheese but it had a good taste. But this is the hard part, I ordered the surf and turf . The lobster and I don’t say this lightly but it was the worst lobster I have ever had. It was so dry even the butter didn’t help it and it tasted old also. I have had better lobster at Red Lobster and that’s not a good thing. I did ask for my filet mignon rare but this was raw! I love Steak tartar but that’s not what I ordered. My husband had the duck and raspberry sauce. The duck was also over cooked and there was so much sauce it made it difficult to eat. The duck also tasted old , just not fresh. To their credit they took the price of the surf and turf off of our bill but for $109.00 a plate I would think that they would treat the proteins with more care. I want to say that it was a busy night but in saying that I didn’t think this place was worth the prices they charge. It’s a beautiful restaurant with wonderful views of the river I hope in writing this review that it helps to make someone else’s experience better.

The service was good but the food was awful. Chicken piccata is one of my all time favorites but this was bad. It was boiled chicken in a nasty bland gravy with lemon squeezed on top. The salad was spring mix and barely eatable. The bread tasted like flour and yeast. The booth that we were sat at was extremely uncomfortable. I paid nearly $50pp for this garbage.

We had a party of 10 for my mother in laws 91st birthday, and the evening was just perfect. The food was well prepared. The service was excellent, with Richard our waiter being very nice, and very attentive, as were the rest of his staff. I had the ribeye med rare, and it was amazing. Well done. Thank you for making this a very memorable experience.

A few months ago I was intrigued by the classico menu of the Gourmet Room when searching online for restaurants in Laughlin. These French classic dishes are no where to be found in the vicinity and in fact many of the largest cities I have visited throughout the past few years. Being culinary trained in many in many of these French dishes, I was excited to patron this restaurant as soon as possible. Upon arrival, the restaurant resonates to a 1980’s dining feel where even the service staff are dressed in tuxedo type uniforms. Our table was placed in front of the enormous windows with a phenomenal view of the Colorado River. The first items were escargot and a classic French onion soup. These items were well presented with a savory taste, highly recommended. The dinner salads consisted if fresh greens, beautiful ripe cherry tomatoes and fresh baked croutons. The dressings were both made in house with creamy textures and nice consistency. The Filet mignon was cooked to perfection, rare and medium rare, accompanied with fresh Bearnaise sauce. The filet mignon was so tender, I actually cut it with my fork, this definitely doesn’t happen in today’s modern cooking. The quail was properly roasted with excellent seasoning and flavor beyond expectations. A nice surprise was the intermezzo of sorbet served before the entree. Not many restaurants do this in today’s fine dining. At the end, our dinner was capped off with a traditional creme brulee that had us wanting more with every bite. The entire experience took about an hour and a half while each course had been timed perfectly. The experience was wonderful and the menu is exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone who not only enjoys cooking as an art, but also in taste, in service and in experience.

Originally, we wanted to go to the Prime rib room, but we didn’t know you needed reservation, So we went to Gourmet Room, Great alternative!!! Ribeye Steak was very Good & my wife had Blue cheese crusted steak,she cleared the plate!!! Highly recommend & prices were reasonable. All staff was very attenditive & super friendly!!!!

Came here for my boyfriend bday and it did not disappoint. Service is impeccable, we ordered the crab legs and they come already cut in half for you. We also ordered the Lobster ravioli, spinach artichoke chicken soup and the oysters, the bread was a bit stiff wish they would precut it. But my favorite dish was the lobster ravioli and the crab legs!!!
The View was super relaxing, servers were fun and we will come back.

Had the escargot appetizer and I wanted more, they were perfect. Saw another table order and finish the frog legs and they raved about them.
Service was fantastic and the view in the early evening watching the moon come up over the mountains was wonderful to watch.

Was so disappointed in the Chicken Cordon Brie. It was greasy and had absolutely no flavor. The sauce was ridiculous – it was nonexistent and had no flavor. Pretty dish but would never order again. On the other hand, hubby’s veal was wonderful. Go figure ??

Had a wonderful meal here at the Gourmet room this evening. It’s definitely an old school style restaurant, with classic decor and beautiful floor to ceiling windows to take advantage of the view of the river. The service was outstanding with very friendly waiters that checked on us regularly, were knowledgeable about the dishes and offered great wine suggestions. We really enjoyed the soup of the day, and my husband loved the oysters (they were huge!). For entree we shared the chateaubriand for 2 and it was very tasty. I can’t quite say the food was as good as other high end steakhouses in Vegas but, the prices also reflect that and it was extremely reasonable. Overall we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the ambience very much. Will definitely return if we’re in Laughlin again.
