The Goose holds a special place in my heart. We discovered this place while my husband and I were first engaged. We had a look we wanted, so we had trolling around town for the most beautiful bars. They were so gracious to let us come and take photos.
Wine and pizza are always amazing every time we’ve found ourselves back introducing this place to new friends. Even on a Friday night, they were able to seat a group of 7 immediately. Figgy Blue, Buffalo Chicken, and the Italian were hits! All pizza can be in gluten free as well!
The crew is always so sweet and attentive. During the summer, they have an outside patio.

Fun, lively place. feels like a local spot. the veg of the day was Brussels Sprouts and they were done to perfection.

My daughter had the grilled Caesar salad which was good and works have been great with just a tad more dressing. The crispy ravioli was very good.

I would skip the garden salad unless they replace the iceberg lettuce with actual spring mix.

will go back for sure.

The Goose had an interesting interior. Some parts of it had a very nice aesthetic, and some parts not so much. The tablecloths were thick leather sheets, almost like a pool table cover, which made the drinks unstable. Weird, but it doesn’t really matter to me.

We started with their fried pickles and peppers, which I thought were good. Could have been a little crispier, but good. And although I hate that $10 apps are standard these days, I have to say that I felt satisfied with the amount of pickles and peppers we got. I went with their Kentucky Cheesesteak. The bun was a little big for the amount of meat I got (or rather, the amount of meat was a little small for the bun I got) so that was underwhelming, but the beer cheese sauce was fantastic. Their breaded fries were also very very good. My date got their Buffalo Chicken Pizza and I thought it was delicious. The crust was immaculate and the cheese was melted just right. My two complaints are that 1) it was not cut. My date said it “had the idea of being cut”, but we ended up having to cut it with a knife which was annoying. And 2) we asked to sub the bleu cheese for jalapenos as we were charged extra for that. That doesn’t make sense to me because jalapenos are dirt cheap compared to bleu cheese, but if that is just a restaurant policy, I just would have liked to be made aware that we would be charged extra. We said, “can we sub the bleu cheese for jalapenos” and the waitress said “of course”. I feel like the reasonable assumption there is that that substitution would be free. It was only an extra $1.50, but in principle I wish I would have known. To be clear, these two complaints don’t take away the fact that the pizza was amazing.

Overall, I was satisfied. I would definitely come back for the pizza or maybe the beer cheese.

I don’t know why I had such high expectations. The goose was average. A limited menu always stops me from completely enjoying a place. The menu is tiny! They seem like their special is their range of pizzas, but it’s still a small range. You can build your own, but it’s 1.79 for every topping you add… anyways. The pizza was okay. I saved some for the next day, and as someone who loves cold pizza, this was disgusting lol. I will say the beer cheese and pretzels were pretty delicious. My boyfriend disagreed though. We also had the spinach and artichoke dip and it was painfully below average. Just dry and bland, same goes with the pairing chips. The atmosphere was ok, nothing impressive. We went at a slow time, but our waitress was great and food was quick.

Great menu, from salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and various entrees. I’ve had the baked ziti, grill roasted beef, figgy blue pizza, and the Italian pizza. All were delicious! Can’t wait to go back! Parking can be a little difficult on a busy night, but the food is worth it.

Came for a girl’s night dinner. Had a salad with salmon and a couple cocktails. Everything was very good. Can’t wait to come back to try their Figgy Bleu pizza.

We enjoyed our visit to The Goose. The food was very nice and fresh. The portions were nice and no one should leave hungry. Wish I could have had sour cream and salsa with the nachos. The sauce they served was good but a sweet sauce. But good.

Our first visit. Very quaint place. Historical building with a nifty bar. Indoor and outdoor seating. I would call this a local spot. They have what I call signature style pizza made fresh. Many other items available.
