The owners were excited to tell us about the food as we approached the order window. It rubbed off on us and we ordered one thing from each section of the menu. Sitting outdoors with the wind at our backs and good summer weather it was a pleasure to wait not too long for the food to be hand delivered to our table! We were offered extra sauces for those with a spicy nature! As expected each bowl did not disappoint. The stir fry rice and steak melted with every savory and tangy bite! The potato was no ordinary dry restaurant style potato! It was fluffy and creamy with all the good toppings! Last but not least the Mahalo Poke bowl had flavor for all! Fresh tuna paired with sweet pickled onions and pineapples popped with sweet and fresh! Please stop here! you can fuel up and grab a great bite to eat with a view!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my travels across Montana + Wyoming, it’s that if you see a little tiny shack in a gas station parking lot .. you eat there. Period. Point blank. End of discussion. The Good Food Place is delicious, it’s unique, the views are to die for, and the owner is so kind and welcoming. You can tell the food is cooked with love and the portions are generous! This spot is a must go for anyone in the area, especially those using Yellowstone’s North Entrance.

This place is absolutely amazing! Everything is incredibly fresh, and you can really taste it in every bite. I was pleasantly surprised to find dishes of this level in such a remote area. The owner/chef personally explained each dish, which added so much to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

After a long road trip filled with burgers and bar food, I was craving something different—and The Good Food Place absolutely hit the spot. I ordered the beef stir-fried rice, and it was delicious! The flavors were fresh, the portion was generous, and I left completely full and satisfied.
This new little spot is a hidden gem—a small shack attached to a gas station near the North Entrance of Yellowstone. It has an open concept where you can watch the chef/owner cook and even chat with him while he works. Super chill guy, and as it turns out, also a talented musician! He even played a song for us on his guitar, which made the experience that much more memorable.
If you’re anywhere near Yellowstone, make sure to stop by The Good Food Place. Great food, great vibes, and a one-of-a-kind roadside experience.

After a cold afternoon with wind and snow in Yellowstone, we stumbled in to see the options and boy were we impressed. The owner was so welcoming and we had a pleasant conversation as he cooked up an amazing selection of stir fry bowls that we thoroughly enjoyed. This place was the perfect end to a big day and it’s worth making the time for a meal and a story or two…especially about basketball!

So glad we stopped here. We live in Gardiner and have never been here until today. The food was amazing. Daniel (owner) was so nice and inviting that it was a pleasure to eat here. He even gave us a “mini” concert. He plays guitar and sings and it was honestly very good. Prices are very reasonable, especially with the portion sizes. I can’t remember the name of what we ate but it was chilli, scrambled eggs, jasmine rice, sour cream and scallions in a bowl, a large bowl and truly tasted amazing! We’ll definitely be back. Very friendly, very good food, very pleasant experience. Highly recommend! It’s great to have another option for eating in Gardiner as well…..especially when it’s this good! Thanks again Daniel! We came into Gardiner to see the Roosevelt arch and decided to find a good meal for lunch. My friend selected Daniel’s which was a bit out of town because it had a high rating. We were pleasantly greeted by chef Daniel. He took our order and we were instant friends. The food was so delicious! He even treated us to a couple of songs accompanied on his guitar! It was an amazing experience. You may not get sung to, but you will enjoy his deliciously prepared meals. Highly recommended!
