Cute little place. It was pretty busy, but we got right in. Service was good. All the staff had a smile on their face. The menu is the perfect size. It’s not overwhelming but offers really great choices. Food came pretty quickly after we ordered. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good. The season potatoes were excellent. Will definitely be back to try the pancakes or waffles soon.

10 stars ! Casual, comfortable atmosphere, friendly service, incredible food ! We are from out of town (Philly) visiting my husband’s family in Oxford and we had an amazing breakfast here today. Our server was so kind and our meals (breakfast sandwich, omelet, potatoes, coffee, tea) were so delicious. Highly recommend. If we lived in town, this would be a go-to spot for us for a protein packed breakfast ! I appreciate the attention to high quality cooking oils like tallow and olive oil too. Good stuff !

A charming breakfast joint located in downtown Oxford.
We came for a weekday morning breakfast before a holiday weekend. It was not super busy and the service was excellent. Our waitress was very personable and friendly. She checked on us often and other waitresses helped keep coffee and water topped off.
The food was good. They have a small menu of the typical breakfast staples. I feel it keeps the options light and lets them focus on quality.
We ended up with pancakes, eggs, and something similar to grits but better. Everything was good. The pancakes could have been fluffier and the eggs were SLIGHTLY overcooked, but nothing was bad.
Overall it was good. It’s nice to have a decent breakfast joint in town that isn’t a coney.
Recommended.

I love this Cafe in Oxford. It’s on Lapeer Rd across from the theater. Outdoor seating and spacious indoor seating. Comfortable booths, tables and chairs. Counter seating. The food is AMAZING and creative. They only use the best ingredients. Delicious medium roast coffee from the White Pine Coffee Roasters in Oxford. Great orange juice. Service is attentive and friendly. Clean bathroom just down a short hallway. You can watch the chef cook. Lots of parking. I highly recommend it. I really like their Reuben. They use Wrigglys corned beef from Detroit, which is The BEST. Good fries. My favorite breakfast item is their French Toast with homemade Amaretto caramel sauce, buttery, with pecans. Lightly drizzled on food. Whipped Cream and generous banana slices.
Biscuits and Gravy is out of this world. Homemade thin, crispy on edge biscuits with sausage gravy. Perfect portion for me.

My mom and I visited The Good Egg Cafe in Downtown Oxford on a chilly spring morning during their first week open, and we were so impressed! ❄️ The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, even though the restaurant had just opened. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Patty, who was warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience for her guests.
My mom ordered the French toast and absolutely loved it—thicker than Texas toast, perfectly cooked, and dusted with powdered sugar. I went with a farmer-style omelette packed with sausage, bacon, and ham. It was fresh, fluffy, and had a great balance of veggies to meat. It came with sliced American cheese, which isn’t my favorite (texture thing!), but I’ll be ordering it with shredded cheddar next time. Still, it was delicious! I chose a side of fruit and an English muffin, both included with no upcharge.
The interior is bright, clean, and cozy. The egg-shaped salt and pepper shakers were such a thoughtful touch! It’s a great spot for breakfast or lunch with friends or coworkers. The coffee was just how you’d expect at a good brunch spot: simple and solid. ☕️
Located right across from the movie theater in Downtown Oxford, there’s ample parking on the side and behind the building. We’re excited to return and thrilled to have this fresh new spot in town!

We were so excited to try Oxford’s newest breakfast spot! We had about a 30 minute wait which was accurate. Once seated we were greeted by our waitress Kathleen. She was cheerful & attentive! She answered our questions and made wonderful suggestions. We had the Bananas Fosters French toast for an appetizer, sooooo yum! Then we had the avocado toast and the Big Poppa! We were all happy with our meals and full. Portion size was good, not over abundant. Love the new diner! We will be back & hopefully will have Kathleen again.

Today was our first experience here and it will definitely be our new brunch spot after church!! We came around 1ish and there was no wait.
The staff here are friendly and warm! Our server was Gina and she was such a delight! She was very pleasant and was just lovely with our friendly toddler!!
Our food came out fast and was delicious! I loved my cinnamon roll pancakes so much, I ate every bite!! And the coffee is great, too!
We can’t wait to dine here, again!
Thank you Good Egg team, and Gina! ❤️

Overall, Good Egg isn’t bad — the food is good, and the fresh produce really shines. That said, it feels like the quality of the fresh ingredients carries the weight over some corner-cutting in other areas.
My biggest issue is the price-to-value ratio. Compared to other breakfast spots in town, it doesn’t feel like you’re getting a great bang for your buck.
We were also excited to try their herbal tea, but were disappointed to be handed basic Tazo tea packets instead of something fresh or house-brewed.
Good, but not great — a 3 in my book.
