Took my daughter here for her birthday and mine. She had ribeye. It was not very good. She couldn’t eat it because of whatever seasoning was on it, had a slimy fatty texture and was tough. I could only eat my fish and shrimp after removing the batter. I have always praised this restaurant but this visit just was not a pleaser. We didn’t say anything as they were busy and didn’t want to cause any issues. Perhaps some soft music so we don’t hear other guests chewing or talking would be nice as well. A little bit more friendly customer service from wait staff would be nice. Granted maybe she was rushed, tired or even not feeling well. Overall we were rather disappointed.

Wasn’t open so could not properly rate it. It is located on both sides of the street. Has a great deck overlooking the river. Hope to be back. The sign on the front says 1878. Wow 9 28 25 Made it back for pizza . It was good. Runs $ 25.00 a pie. You pick it up downstairs. They had live music on the deck but alot of people ate inside because it was to loud. Would have rater been outside. Very nice deck. Bathrooms are also downstairs.

I was just looking for a soup for dinner a d didn’t have high expectations about this place. Surprisingly, both the environment and food were just perfect. I had the Clam Chowder Soup, TWICE! It easily so good I almost forgot to take a picture to post, I have it posted half way gone. I will definitely go back for a fried frog leg!

On a Friday evening, we visited The Golden Frog restaurant. I ordered the Bullfrog Burger, which was prepared to perfection. The burger was served on ciabatta bread that began to disintegrate during consumption. The flavor of the burger was underwhelming. The French fries were cooked until crisp but remained enjoyable. My father chose the deep-fried fish with coleslaw and red potatoes. He commented that the fish was too thin but found the potatoes to be satisfactory.

This is a great restaurant. The food was freshly made. We had the brosted chicken which was delicious, it came with your choice of potato and coleslaw that was really good. We had the 2-pc meals.

I ordered the bacon wrapped filet mignon RARE, it came out medium to medium well. The waitress was kind and offered to have it remade. She asked if we had a dog and let us take it home for the dog. The next steak came out raw, and cold. Just seared on the top and bottom. The cook came out of the kitchen looked at our table and glared at me as if it were my fault.
The waitress was wonderful and gave me both steaks to take home in a doggy box. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals, but mine was disappointing. We have been there several times before and always enjoyed our meals. I have ordered a rare steak in the past and it was fine. I can’t fault the waitress for her service, she was accommodating. I would give her five stars but given my overall experience I was disappointed. We tipped the waitress we’ll as she deserved it.

We stopped just for the clam chowder! It is a must try! We also go the hand battered mushrooms and the batter was perfect! We had Brooke for a bartender/server and she was super friendly and helpful.

Simply the best! Great bar and grill for all occasions! Especially, if you’re on the river looking for a place to eat or grab a drink. In my opinion some of the best cheese curds around too! Highly recommend taking the time to check this place out!

Love the history The Golden Frog holds, being built in 1878 and serving people since. on the menu it states the saloon keeper and builder had golden red hair, hence the German name, “Zum Golden Frosch,” which translates to The Golden Frog Great atmosphere, staff, and food!!

Let me start with if you don’t suffer with food allergies, you’ll love it. However, those of us who have food allergies it’s hard to eat here.
That being said – the server was on it! We had a large group and she was awesome. The food was great- mid depending on what people ordered. The taco salad was huge and full. The burgers were ok. The fries were tasty. Salad bar wasn’t exciting, but filling. Fish was delish.

They did allow us to bring food that we could eat so that we could be with the rest of our group.
Overall – super quaint place with great people and interactions. Food ranges depending on what you order.
