Mid food. Average ice cream stand food. I personally thunk the quality has declined since the latest owner transition. Hope to update with a more positive review. This place is within walking distance and we used to love it!

I’ve driven by this place several times and never stopped. Today I got the chance to and I was not disappointed in the least. I ordered four things; the Big Grizzly, truly a big burger, The Philly steak wrap, and absolutely delicious take on a Philly steak sandwich, onion rings, which had to be some odd the crunchiest onion rings I’ve ever had, and a peanut butter shake, a little cold for a 55 degree day but a good shake all the same especially if you like Reeces cups. And the workers here were friendly too. I’ll definitely be stopping by again when I’m back in the area.

Food is decent but everything on the menu is way too expensive for what it is.Ice cream is soft serve and not worth the price, side of fries and other sides are very small for the price of $4 and the double cheeseburger should not be $8.Paid $13 for a double cheeseburger and a side and that’s not including a drink.Prices are too high especially when there is no dining in and everything is shabby,dusty and dirty.The whole atmosphere especially where you eat is not very appealing with dirty oil containers and flies everywhere.Lower your prices, brighten the place up, be more generous with the food and do something about the dining area.Could be a lot better and a money maker with little effort.

Disappointing to be writing this about the ice cream place I have ate at since I was a child (new owners). The chocolate milkshake was almost as thin as chocolate milk, and had a good half inch from the top that there was no product. Also- got a kids chocolate cone that couldn’t even hold up while eating it, was falling off the sides within seconds. All chocolate? Bc the vanilla soft serve was “down” for the 3rd time since new owners. This is the 3rd time we have given this place a try and tonight was the final time we will be back.
Staff was friendly- doesn’t make up for the terrible tasting ice cream.

This place has gone downhill. I have been eating here for 28 years. We come from AZ to visit family every summer, and we eat here a couple of times while here. Never again. My shack was hot, not even 80°. I asked the young lady’s if they could please add the ice cream they forgot, and they said thats how they make them now. That’s not a shack that’s hot chocolate milk. Sorry to see this to an old faithful place to eat.

New owners are trying from what I can see. New staff on the other hand are dropping the ball. We usually go every weekend and lately its been a mess. Messed up orders, long wait times, etc. Argumentative when they mess up an order.
Need better weekend management to organize the staff. They used to have a good system where they parked large orders and kept the line moving. maybe the new staff doesn’t know. Also used to take your orders before you got to the window to streamline it. It shouldn’t take 15 minutes to get 4 ice creams.
Ice cream is still good. Food is still good. so maybe there is hope.

4th car in the drive thru at 6:35 tonight. Reached the window at 7:22, window opened at 7:27, with another 3 cars behind me. Was told all food and ice cream would be an hour wait, but all cars in front of me did get their food. Whether it’s staffing issues, or running out of food, or just busy because of Labor Day, not their best night.

Stopped in for dinner about an hour before closing yesterday. Fantastic! The food was amazing and was a great price for what we got. Food only took a few minutes to come out. It was all fresh and perfectly hot. There is definitely some passion in their kitchen because it all was clearly made with love. The ice cream was fantastic and once again a great price for the amount we got. The employees were super friendly and smiling. The golden bear is 100% going to become a new regular spot for us. Can’t wait to try everything else on the menu.
