After seeing all the yummy food pictures since opening, we were able to try this unique place out for ourselves! The house itself is beautiful and charming. Reminds me a lot of The Olde Pink House in Savannah (one of my favorites). We were warmly welcomed and the service was excellent. We ordered bruschetta, caesar salad, chicken parm, the petite filet with risotto, and a tasty bottle of cab sav. The presentation of all the dishes were beautiful and delicious, but my only hang up was the risotto. It was not cohesive like it should be, and felt more like regular rice. The creaminess wasn’t there. The restaurant is fabulous and we will definitely be back!

We absolutely LOVED our first visit to The Goetchius House, nestled in the Historic District in Columbus, GA. The house itself is gorgeous, and decorated to the nines for Halloween. A short nostalgic walk from the Marriott where we stayed, the homes and sweet neighborhood was an added plus!

The food presentation was delightfully artful, and the food quality was second to none. We enjoyed every bite! The pictures show the AMAZING pear salad and Greek salad, the Sicilian Arancini appetizer—fried balls of risotto stuffed with mozzarella and gorgonzola (Heaven), the seared Ahi tuna on a “pedestal” of smashed avocado (cooked and seasoned to perfection), the petite filet mignon (which was more than petite and the best filet I’ve ever had, accompanied by risotto and broccoli), and a few house pictures.

Our server was excellent and guided us through our meal with aplomb! What a lovely experience we had! Our dinner was well worth every penny and was the highlight of our trip. We we will definitely return!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Brunch Experience at The Goetchius House

Our sales staff from Action Buildings recently enjoyed a company brunch at The Goetchius House, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The shrimp and grits were exceptional perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully balanced. It was clear that great care went into every detail of the dish.

For dessert, the tiramisu was absolutely excellent, light, smooth, and the perfect complement to the meal. Every bite was thoroughly enjoyed.

The setting was ideal for a team gathering, and the quality of the food made it a memorable experience for everyone. The Goetchius House delivered a fantastic brunch that our team truly appreciated, and we would gladly return. Highly recommended for both business gatherings and special occasions.

Second time dining there last night was such a treat. Food, service and ambiance were all worthy of more than four five stars. The portions were perfect, the food was flavorful, fresh and well-presented. Who knew that the best crab cake I’ve ever had would come from a place so far from the coast (the artichokes on top it…yum!!!!).
The cocktails were delightful as well, the Genovian being my fav.
We will be dining again to try more of this fantastic food.

The first picture is the Chicken ( thighs) and waffles served in a toddler plate. We never had chicken thighs over waffles..NEVER!
My daughter does not like chicken thighs and it was very messy to cut the thighs and waffles on that plate. She gave up and ordered an omelet . The second picture is of the amount of ONIONS that had to be placed aside! Mind you she ate some. That omelet was comped but it came with no sides.. no toast etc. Now for an upscale eatery, please serve DECENT FOOD! The mimosas were subpar. That Cipriani Bellini came straight from a bottle… nothing like the ones we had at Cipriani. I actually feel embarrassed for you guys. Good luck!

What an absolute gem of a restaurant on what I would consider the main street of Columbus Georgia. All the houses in this street date back 100 years and the vibe is consistent with the era. The food is absolutely top notch and I would put it and the venue up against places I have been in all parts of the World. A must try

The food was delicious and beautifully presented because of that we probably would try this restaurant again.
Unfortunately the evening we chose the restaurant had an outdoor private event. We initially were seated outside with a couple other guests. Then on the deck, music and speakers were being set up. This turned out to be extremely loud, to the point you could not have a conversation. We asked to be seated inside which was accommodated and soon after the remaining guests that were seated near us also moved inside. Definitely an improvement but remained loud, something not expected from a higher quality dining establishment.
The one issue with service was we felt very rushed. We ordered an appetizer which was brought along with the entrees. The meal felt as though staff wanted you in and out, not a usual fine dining experience more of a chain restaurant feeling.

Never have I ever gone to The Geochius House and been dissatisfied. Now granite this was our first visit, but it will definitely not be our last! My finance, son and I decided to celebrate some great news we received. They had no idea where we were going, and I had no idea how much we would love the experience. My 11 year old son, who loves meat and carbs, actually ate……the carrrots!!!!!!! The Lamb Chops, The Steak, The Salmon oh my!!!! We could have asked for a take out tray, but there was no need….WE DEVOURED THE MEAL; although my fiance could have taken a slice or few of the key lime pie to go!!! We ate and left no crumbs!!!!!! Fine Fiance, Spectacular Son, Sweet Server and Staff, Awesome Atmosphere, Mouth Watering Meal….what a wonderful way to spend a Saturday night.

We just left here tonight
We got polenta sticks and basket of bread for appetizers.
Our main entree was bbq chicken and surf and turf.
Closing the meal with tiramisu and pb bread pudding.
The basket of bread was a disappointment. It’s was regular small hard bread $12. Not good.
The main dish was good.
Unfortunately they miss the mark on the desserts. Was not good.
Our bill $122

Had a 200$ meal and I’m not upset about it. That just about sums it up. All the steaks were great quality and cooked as ordered. The sides were good. The building is historic and cool. The playlist was great. The server Callie complimented my voice. Win win win.
