We were in Columbus on vacation and looking for a good breakfast spot. I noticed this place and they are appropriately named, truly The GOAT. The bloody Mary’s were insane in a great way, my cocktail was delicious, and the fried chicken pimento biscuit was nuts, so so good. I’m always in search for good chicken biscuits and this is in my top 3 of all time. The service was very friendly and attentive. I also have to make a metion of the nice restroom facilities.

Came in for brunch and got the Nashville hot chicken and waffles with a side of hash browns. The tenders were very small, the waffles a bit hard. The taste was decent, but with the small portion sizes it didn’t feel worth the $18. The staff are all friendly so maybe just make the portions bigger.

I was really impressed. We stopped here to grab a bite and Hannah or server was terrific. She helped make my decision on what to eat easy, and the food was amazing!! Everything came out fast and great. My friend had pizza and wings both he said was fantastic and I saw the pizza it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back and back Often!!!

I’ve been here a few times, and the service and food is usually pretty consistent. On this day, we sat at the bar. There weren’t a lot of people there, so the servers were not busy. Our server at the bar was talking to coworkers, making drinks for other tables, so we waited 15 minutes before she acknowledged us by saying I’ll be right there. 5 minutes later, she realized she had forgotten us again, she stops chatting and brought us menus and got our drink orders. I was a bit annoyed so I didn’t order much.
I ordered the baked potato tots, chicken tenders and a burger. The burger and chicken tenders were awesome. The sauce on the tots was a bit overwhelming. The white sauce was very strong so you couldn’t taste anything else. It was chalky and coated the inside of your mouth.
The bathroom is always clean when I’m here. Staff always greet you at the door. Great atmosphere too.
This visit I had bad service but I do still recommend this place.

I had a really disappointing experience at The GOAT in downtown Columbus. We had a 6-top reservation. Our waitress, a curly red-head young woman, seemed completely uninterested in taking care of any of her tables. She avoided service, barely checked in, and ignored basic needs like drink refills or updates on our food. It felt like we were being intentionally avoided most of the night.
To be fair, the manager was clearly trying to hold things together. He was out on the floor doing what looked like the waitstaff’s job and dealing with several very angry customers who were understandably frustrated. We tried to stay patient and understanding because it was obvious the place was overwhelmed.
Unfortunately, the service delay was so bad that by the time our food finally arrived, the event we were going to had already started. That completely defeated the purpose of us going there beforehand.
When the situation was finally addressed, the waitress acted shocked as if she had done nothing wrong—but the reality is she had been avoiding her tables all evening. It was frustrating because we tried to be kind and reasonable the entire time and still even tipped

Loved the atmosphere and Hannah, our waitress, was amazing! She suggested the monthly special burger and it didn’t disappoint!!! Even the manager came to our table and was so kind and engaging!! Needed some great hospitality in a city far away from home.

Today was my first time ever trying The Goat and it did not disappoint! The food was good, and service was spectacular. Mallika made the entire experience amazing. She answered all of my questions, was so upbeat and friendly, and she made the conversation fun. Service is what makes or breaks an experience, and I will definitely be back and ask for Mallika again!

The worst service I’ve ever received. Took over two hours to be seated and actually have food at our table. The server forgot chicken for the salad, ranch for the salad, a double patty for a burger, appetizers came at the same time as the meal and forgot one of the two appetizers. Took over 20 minutes to grab a water. Ended up going up to the bar to get one and still didn’t get a water till the manager came over and hand delivered one. Waitress was obviously very new and had very little training. Caught her on her phone multiple times. Very awful and will not come back. We had to extend our parking for an extra two hours as well because of the wait. The restaurant was not busy with around a little less than half capacity.

The only thing that saved this evening was the fact we all had good conversation with the people we were around. We had a reservation for a large party and the service was absolutely terrible. Took over 2hrs for people to receive their orders and half were wrong or missing items. One person from our party spoke to the manager about an hr in and said something about it and it wasn’t even fixed. Still issues and the manager in the red shirt definitely needs more training on how to handle customer complaints. I didn’t even get my main because I was mad at the wait at that point.
Yes our waitress did drop the ball and should’ve asked for backup when she was struggling, but ultimately it is the MANAGERS job to assist especially with larger parties. And when bringing out food he didn’t even send the same person. He he sent different people to take the hit for what was ultimately HIS mistake. I will not be recommending this place to anyone

Hannah was absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. She checked on us at the perfect times, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything came out just the way we wanted. Her positive attitude and professionalism made our meal even better. If you’re lucky enough to get Hannah as your server, you’re in great hands. Highly recommend!
