The food is amazing! I had a virgin Bloody Mary with the tater tot, chicken and pickle chip. I’m a Bloody Mary snob even while being sober and this was one of my favorites by far. My husband had a lemosa. He loved this drink because it didn’t have OJ like a regular mimosa. The biscuits are phenomenal! I could’ve eaten just a whole plate of their perfectly made biscuits.
Our waitress did an excellent job. If we come to the Mt. Juliet area again then we will definitely come back!
I didn’t get a picture before we ate
The kitchen absolutely crushed it. The drunken shrimp was incredible (I wanted more, but I was already way too full—no regrets). The hot chicken dip was INSANE, and those chips? Don’t even get me started. They’re the kind of chips you can’t get anywhere else—so freaking good.
I ordered the Burger of the Month and it was fresh, earthy, and exactly what I didn’t even know I needed. My fiancé got the Nash Vegas burger and it did not disappoint—absolutely delicious.
Overall, our visit was amazing from start to finish. Five stars in every category. It was the perfect dinner date night, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you go to The Goat, ask for Ashley—you’ll get nothing short of five-star service.
I thought the atmosphere was inviting but wasn’t impressed by anyone that served us. I just didn’t find the staff to be welcoming. From the host, table server, server who brought food etc…the employees just seemed to be going through the motions to get the job done. But the food was super good!
We recently moved to town and had heard/seen great things about dining here. We went earlier today for brunch. We were seated quickly however the table was soaking wet. The menu I received had a small food stain on it and the bottom corner ripped as well which just isn’t a great presentation out the gate. We were given a drink menu that only contained alcoholic drink options with no other drink offerings listed anywhere on either menu. The brunch menu isn’t huge with offerings but enough to choose from that sound good.
We got the biscuit board and the biscuits were just ok. Overcooked a bit and was expecting much better, flaky ones. We also had no side plates on the table. We did ask for some but by the time we received them, we had already used our napkins and the serving plate as an option.
As for entrees, they were overall fine. I got the French toast, my husband got the breakfast casserole with a side of waffles, and my daughter got the chicken & waffles. We were charged $7 for the side of waffles and an extra $1 for the ranch. No mention of an extra charge for the ranch at any point and when we inquired about the cost of the side of the waffles, the server didn’t know. Would not have ordered them for $7. No complaints on the entrees but also nothing stellar to rave about. Just average.
The service we received wasn’t great. We had a lot of questions being our first visit & after a couple, the server seemed put out with us. We had long waits when asking for items like side plates, sauces that were supposed to come with the entrees and didn’t come out with it, etc.
We are very chill people & it takes a lot for me to not give a 5-star review. Overall I’m disappointed and expected a better dining experience all around.
Just hit up The Goat in Mt. Juliet and had a killer meal. I ordered 10 mild buffalo wings and the mac & cheese, both were absolutely on point. The wings had that perfect balance of flavor and heat without being overpowering, and the mac was rich, creamy, and had that homemade comfort food vibe.
What really stood out though was the atmosphere. The architecture and interior design were beautiful. You can tell they put thought into the aesthetic. Rustic meets modern with just the right amount of cozy. I snapped a few pics while I was there. It’s definitely one of those spots that looks as good as it tastes.
Whether you’re rolling through solo or with friends, it’s a great spot to chill, eat well, and enjoy the vibe. Definitely recommend, I’ll be back!
