Food was obviously high-quality. The giant tenders are giant (see attached photo) AND they’re hand-battered and fried there. The wraps were good, and the fries/rings were solid. They have issues on busy days so be aware you’ll wait extra long on game days, and weekends. Staff was good, and pricing is fine.

Excellent place to go get a true Chicago deep dish. The wait is a bit longer for the deep dish, but it’s worth it. The flavors were perfect, the temperature right, and the service fantastic. Highly recommend!

Very nice almost hole in the wall type vibe. Our server was very kind and kept on top of the drinks like a pro. Fun music and decor. The manager or owner was constantly making sure we were taken care and she was very friendly. The deep dish pizza can easily feed many people, it was much larger than we expected but it was delicious and fresh. My Mac and cheese had wonderful flavor and was also a good sized portion that two people could share.

$1 wing Wednesday is something you just don’t hear about in 2026. And they’re actually GOOD WINGS!!!! I love this place and everything about it. One of the best additions to Franklin Ave yet. Owners are extremely involved in local schools and sports, the reason we first came here was because my daughter’s soccer season ended and all kids on the team were given a free pizza coupon. Not only is that amazing marketing and great neighborhood culture; but it creates a nostalgic association/memory for kids forever.
Crystal is the besttttt, so attentive and always makes my family feel like we’re at home. In 2026 where going out to eat is damn near a luxury, Goal Line is definitely the place to go.

I’ve passed by this place countless times and always wanted to try it. Today was finally the day… and wow, what a disappointment. The restaurant was fairly empty (maybe 15–20 people total), so we expected things to run smoothly. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. We started with cheese curds, which took about 10–15 minutes to arrive and were already cold. The flavor itself was decent, but the cheese had hardened from sitting too long, which completely ruined them. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side salad, my husband got a smash burger and chicken wings, and the kids ordered chicken tenders with fries and a pizza. Nearly all of the food came out cold, the only exception was the chicken tenders, but even then, the fries were cold. I reluctantly sent my sandwich back (something I really hate doing), and while the remake was much better, it didn’t save the overall experience. The food, across the board, was just not good.
The only positive part of our visit was our server.. She was kind, attentive, and clearly doing her best. Sadly, great service couldn’t make up for the consistently cold food. I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid.

Second time coming here since they first opened. Definitely not the same quality or prices. First time there we ordered a double smash burger. It came with fries. It was great. Everything was hot and tasted fresh. Our recent visit not so much. Ordered smash burgers and the fries were charged separately. Nothing wrong with that, as I prefer it that way but the fries were over cooked and way too salty. The burgers were not hot, kinda dry and once again way too much salt. It was not as busy as before either. Disappointed that they obviously changed ingredients and quality on things. Service was ok but kept having to repeat the order and still wasn’t made right.

We have been getting mailers and seeing Facebook posts on Goal Line. A small group of us came over to give it a try. The waitstaff was friendly and welcoming. I got the double smash burger and added bacon; it was everything a smash burger should be, crispy edges and meaty center. The bacon was crisp, I chose the side salad for a $2.50 up charge. The side salad had romaine lettuce, which I must prefer over iceberg. My dinning partners had the Cesar Salad with Anchovies, the Italian Beef with fries, and the Goal Line Grinder. All were excellent. The Grinder got high praise. We ended with the Smores cake; it was a moist cake with a marshmallow center covered in a fudge syrup served with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. The marshmallow was too sweet for me.

Good food, good beers, great prices on everything, great staff. Nice menu selection. The chili is awesome, best around. The meatballs were excellent. Big portion on sides and sandwiches. Pizza wouldn’t get again, was ok, but So much more to try. Their Italian beef smells great, wraps n burgers passed our table looked huge and really good. Will be back to try them all.

The staff was great and attentive through the night. We were there for bingo night and will definitely be back. There was a little argument but it was handled quickly and right back to business!

I visit the area just twice a year for work related activities. I’m always looking to try new places. We happened onto The Goal Line on a Monday and went back again the following Wednesday.
Three of us, two visits, 6 different lunch items, everything we had was very flavorful!
We plan to make this a lunch spot each time we’re in town.
