With all the hype about there being a new chef, some friends and I decided to give it another try.
Well… this was a one-and-done opportunity.
Overall, the place looks nice. Service is below subpar, and the food is also subpar, comparable to Burger King.
There were three people in our party. When we first walked in, the place looked about 70% full. We were seated in the back, closest to the pizza oven, on a bench seat that was worse than sitting on the floor—there’s a piece of shelving ledge that protrudes into your back.
Two people ordered soup and one ordered a pretzel. The soups came out fairly quickly for how “busy” it was (about 22 minutes for soup). My pretzel took another 13 minutes after that, so by the time I was ready to eat, the soups were about room temperature and bland.
The main course came out, and the waitress argued with a guest saying that an item on the meal was listed on the menu. Of course, we had to show her the menu to prove she was wrong. That meal was about as bad as McDonald’s trying to serve up a cheesesteak.
The fries that came out were clearly precooked and then dunked in the fryer again to try to heat them up, I was able to squeeze the oil out of them. The burger I had was “eh, okay.” Each item on the burger was an extra cost. So for a cheeseburger you spend $20.00, but then you pay an additional $1.00 for cheese of your choice and $2.00 for bacon. (Okay, that I can understand.) But paying $23.00 for a burger with just meat, cheese, and bacon is more than their most expensive burger that also has a higher food costs.
A friend got the over-salted “Cod” dish, which we’re sure came out hot, but by the time we were able to get anyone’s attention to ask for utensils, it was room temperature.
Our displeasure sparked a conversation with a table of five sitting next to us who were from Warwick, NY. They asked what places were good to eat around here because they had also had such a bad experience that they were planning to go out somewhere else for dinner. They ordered at the same time we did, and their apps came out when our main course came out—so you can imagine how long it really took.
In addition, if you want bread for your soup – You’ll pay $2.00 for a piece of a hoagie roll.
Overall, a 1-star rating is overrating this place.

This has to be the worst restaurant in the area. Disgusting I’ll never come back even with the new chef you guys literally suck yet again.
45 minutes for an app, cold food, empty drinks the entire service. Sorry to everyone that works here…

The food was fantastic. Really top notch. Super fresh, and really unique, interesting and delicious. The new chef knows what they are doing. All 3 of us loved our meals. Service was slow, but we were not in a hurry. We were there late on a Tuesday night, so no worries. Food was excellent and worth the wait.

This place has come a long way in a short time. I’m literally a neighbor and would go for drinks at the bar and appetizers, or to the underground for drinks and games. Sadly they screwed up nachos, but not any more. They’ve got a new chef that clearly takes a lot of pride in his food, and is WAY better than it used to be. I’ve been back a few times to re-try them and they’ve NEVER disappointed. I’m actually excited to go there now and try everything. Not for nothing, I’m a guy that never leaves reviews and always just eats the food. I’m coming here to say if you’ve been disappointed by the food there before, you’ll be more than pleasantly surprised now. Please keep up the great work and innovative meals!

Have been here years ago and the food wasn’t that great. We heard they got a new chef so gave it another go. We had three appetizers and two meals. And everything was delicious! We will absolutely be going back. So happy we now have a place near by with great foo!

Happy to hear they have a new chef. Been before and it was quite chaotic. But our experience last night was great! The food was delicious, we ordered from the specials list, service was great, and the restaurant while being beyond busy, was clean! There is a bar area with tvs where we watched the playoff games and a main dining room. There is also the underground downstairs that has games, a bar, and food too. So happy we can now recommend the Glenwood!

Where do I start! It started off great our waitress was awesome and very interactive then the storm hit. Efin Karen stole our previous waitresses table and gave an attitude to her while playing nice to us. You could cut the tension with a knife. Waitress number one came back around to check and see if her food recommendations (which were good) were pleasantly enjoyed. Well let me tell you that Karen scared her off and got mad that she was talking to us. Talk about awkward! Karen gave us some recommendations for dessert and they were not good at all especially the super dry tiramisu! I will say management was nice enough to remove the tiramisu from the check but overall this place is not where you’d like to go! Tread lightly when approached by THE KAREN!

Went here about 2 years ago and wow has it changed. Came with a party of 4 and we basically just ordered off the specials menu. Everything was so fresh and creative. The risotto was the best I ever had and so were the meatballs. The smash burgers are out of this world, you haven’t lived until you try them. Chef Jon came out and explained the dishes to us and even mentioned a new menu might be coming in the new year. So excited and can’t wait to comeback.
