From start to finish the meal was incredible. The service and the staff were perfect. They hit the right balance between formality and relaxation which put us at ease. Nothing was really too much trouble. The restaurant was full with 2 larger tables (table of 6 and table of 4) but everything went smoothly and was perfect. We would recommend to anyone considering it. Book the overnight stay for something really, really special.

We had dinner there and it was a-ma-zing! The food along with the gastronomic experience and the wine pairing were fantastic! Should you want to treat yourself to this 2 Michelin stars restaurant, do not hesitate any further, it’s absolutely worth it! (My pictures don’t do justice to how delicious the food was)

There are not many restaurants in Scotland that truly deserve the title must-visit, but Lalique at the Glenturret Distillery is without a doubt one of them – and perhaps the very best I’ve ever experienced in Scotland.

We had lunch, The food is simply outstanding: precise, flavorful, beautifully crafted with top-quality ingredients -and all at a surprisingly reasonable price for the level it delivers. Service was excellent as well: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, adding so much to the overall experience.

What makes this place truly unique is its location – a fine dining restaurant right inside one of Scotland’s oldest whisky distilleries. The restaurant’s bar carries an exceptional range of rare whisky expressions, the kind you would hardly find anywhere else. For whisky lovers, it’s nothing short of paradise.

I wholeheartedly recommend making the detour, even if it takes you slightly off your planned route. If you love whisky and appreciate great food, this is the perfect place to enjoy both worlds at their very best.

Dining at The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant last month was a truly memorable experience. Tucked away in the beautiful Glenturret Distillery, it’s a true destination restaurant, and we made a special trip just to eat there. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. With two Michelin stars, I feel it’s well on its way to a third—the food is that exceptional.

The high level of service started long before we arrived. After booking, I received a thoughtful email to confirm details and ask about dietary needs. I don’t eat deer, and since Roe Deer was the main course, they graciously arranged for a stunning Wagyu beef replacement. That level of personal care really set a positive tone for the evening.

Every dish that came to the table was a work of art. The meal was a masterclass in culinary creativity, with each course offering a delightful surprise in its presentation, complexity, and flavour.

Even the bread was unforgettable. It wasn’t a typical sourdough, but a special Malted Barley Glazed version served with several house-cultured butters. I enjoyed it so much that I took the rest back to my hotel for breakfast the next day.

The kitchen skillfully blends different culinary styles with the freshest local Scottish ingredients. A perfect example was the caviar course, cleverly served using an Asian bun technique. Another highlight for me was the Sea Bream, which was cooked delicately and stuffed while keeping the skin perfectly intact. The textures, flavors, and presentation were all flawless.

We also opted for the Prestige Worldwide Pairing, which was a fantastic decision. We tasted seven different drinks from all over the world, and each one was a perfect partner to its dish.

By the end of the main courses, I was completely full, but then the dessert and petit fours arrived in a wonderfully playful and surprising presentation box, ending the meal on a high note.

My only regret is that I couldn’t book a room at the residence—it was fully booked! That would have been the perfect way to fully enjoy the wine pairing without worrying about the drive back. Despite its remote location, The Glenturret Lalique is an experience I won’t soon forget. If I could give it six stars, I absolutely would. I am already planning my next special journey to visit again.

My favourite ever fine dining experience. I love visiting fine dining restaurants around the UK and last night my husband treated us to a visit here for my Birthday. I was blown away by the amazing flavours and service and atmosphere. Marks years of experience in some of the finest restaurants in the world culminate in taste journey that is refreshingly surprising and varied whilst showcasing the very best of the local larder. I cannot recommend highly enough.
The service too was exceptional from everyone we encountered from booking all the way though to post dinner coffee and chocolates in the stunning lounge.

We stayed at Aberturret House and dined at Glenturret Lalique. Aberturret House was simply beautiful and brilliantly hosted by Celina. It’s such a lovely and tranquil place. The room (Number 1) was large, comfortable, immaculately decorated and incredibly relaxing. Perfect in every sense. Then to the main event of the tasting menu at Glenturret Lalique. The welcome was warm and genuine and the service for the rest of the evening was superb. It would be unfair to name check anyone in particular, such was the consistent level of excellent service. The food itself was inventive, beautifully presented and had many different tastes and textures in every course. The Scallops and Roe Deer were the stand out dishes for me but everything we had was fantastic. It is the perfect venue for a top level culinary experience, coupled with extreme relaxation. Fabulous.

World-Class Multi-Course Dining with Exceptional Service

The Glenturret Lalique near Crieff is a restaurant operating at the very top level. Mark Donald’s food is simply outstanding – technical, precise, and yet full of playful touches that make the experience memorable.

The menu has moments of real surprise. A humble Scottish tattie scone is elevated to world class. Bread is treated as a course in its own right, unlimited and quite possibly among the best in the UK. The langoustine arrives in two parts: a tartare with caviar and a delicate biscuit with mousse – elegant and clever. The lobster toddy is another highlight, starting with a “knuckle sandwich,” claws presented as the poshest sandwich imaginable, served with a lobster broth, followed by the tail cooked gently over coal. The lamb, cooked perfectly pink, was a masterclass in flavour and balance.

Service matches the standard of the kitchen – professional, knowledgeable and yet wonderfully relaxed. The team are exceptional at reading the room, creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming and unpretentious while still delivering polished fine dining.

Desserts continue in the same spirit. The raspberry and wild rose combination was light and refreshing, while the signature Maracaibo mille-feuille is fun and theatrical, a dish that closes the meal with a smile.

We stayed at Aberturret House, just a short walk from the restaurant (with a lift provided if needed). With only six bedrooms it’s a peaceful retreat, and the continental breakfast made for a fitting end to a truly special stay.

This is dining that feels destined for even greater recognition – world-class food in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Grand tasting experience at Lalique restaurant.

Welcoming, unfussy entry to a spacious eating area.

Over the next 3 hours the house staff presented us with multiple courses. Each flavoursome as the next.

Friendly staff explained each dish well. Detailing where ingredients came from and where the chef attempts to use nose to tail.

Matching wines ensured the night passed smoothly.

Glassware and plating brings more life to the servings.

Enjoyable evening in relaxed surroundings.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our engagement, and it became a night to remember.
Each dish, a work of art — thoughtfully crafted and full of creativity,
As if the chef painted stories on each plate.
The warmth, the flavors, the ambiance — all left a lasting impression.
We can’t wait to return and relive the magic once more.

Excellent service, exceptional good food. We liked the starters most. Only the chocolate dessert could have had a stronger chocolate taste. To much cookie. The breed was a bit too sweet. The sweet box is magical. Could have jumped out of a Harry Potter film.
