Established in 1880 The Glass Hat is the oldest consecutively run bar in Wisconsin & oldest bar in Wausau. Completely renovated it’s often referred to as the best looking bar in town. Once you walk through the original glass block front entrance you’ll see the gorgeous fiber optic glass block bar. The original, over 140 yr old ceiling is stunning. Order your favorite drink and walk around. You’ll find fabulous art painted on the walls, cool light fixtures, decor made of bicycle parts all done by local artists and employees. Be sure to check the bathrooms too. On any given night you’ll find the best bartenders in town and an eclectic clientele. The bar has a super cool vibe and a great place for newcomers to feel welcome.

I’m worried about ongoing damage to The Glass Hat caused by
police calls tied to unfounded claims, and
other allegations that harmed my reputation and may affect how customers feel about safety at the bar.
Please review whether the staff member involved should continue in their role, to help ensure safety and integrity.
I understand that truth is not the same as slander. If there are any disputes, I’m prepared to handle them through proper channels. If there is video footage or if my vehicle damage is addressed, I would appreciate a fair resolution.
Note: After the police visit, my vehicle was key-scratched. I believe this was done by someone associated with the bar, and I’m reporting it as part of seeking resolution and accountability.
