The Gilded Acorn provides specialness and exclusivity to its guests, much in the same way a squirrel tucks away caches of acorns to be found later and feasted on when the leaves have all fallen and these decadent underground caches are relied upon. A beautifully unique and iconic space for culture and luxury, the Gilded Acorn embodies the soul of a French patisserie. Located in the heart of the historic First National Center, it is the perfect place to indulge in conversation and excellent food.

Cozy aesthetically pleasing little spot! Plants are well cared for, Nothing worse than going into a spot that chose to have live plants as part of the decor/ambiance just for them to be neglected. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their menu options. The avocado toast was great. Matcha superb! I might go as far as the best I’ve had in Okc. The London fog needed a little help tasted likely water but making tea is an art. Overall beautiful spot. We will be back!

Cutest little coffee and pastry shop in the National Hotel. Super cool vibe amazing coffee and the cookies were to die for! Favorite was the butterscotch oatmeal and sea salt chocolate chip!

I visited The Gilded Acorn while on a work trip and a few of my coworkers and I were needing a coffee shop to talk over our upcoming presentation in downtown OKC. I am very glad that a coworker of mine said we should go here.

My first impression upon walking in was that the atmosphere was very bright and uplifting while also being somewhat unique. There was plenty of seating when we visited which was around 10AM on a weekday but unfortunately not many outlets.

I ordered the dirty chai latte (pictured) and thought it was really well-made with a healthy portion and reasonably priced.

I recommend visiting The Gilded Acorn if you are looking to get some work done, read a book, or catch up with a friend.

This place was the perfect little stop for drinks and a bite while walking around downtown. We went during Christmas time and the seasonal tea drinks were phenomenal, the vibe was cute, and sitting at the window looking at the downtown buildings and lights felt nice and cozy.

Went for lunch today. Ordered the DUO of a soup and salad. Came here for the beet salad, but told unavailable currently. Listed online and printed on menu in person. Not sure if they are short on ingredients or simply need to update their menu. Decided on a house salad and butternut squash soup. Salad had blueberries and strawberries with champagne vinaigrette. Taste was light and refreshing with contrast of savory blue cheese. Butternut squash soup had good flavor. Unfortunately, the texture was that of baby food. Not much of a soup, but more of a thick purée. Always love their pastry options, but probably won’t order the soup again.

A gorgeous little bakery/coffee shop downtown. Great atmosphere when you walk in. A large assortment of pastries to try, great coffee. The steak Benedict is absolutely phenomenal. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality you’re getting. I’d highly recommend anyone try this place for breakfast or to grab a quick coffee. 10/10.

Everything from the ambiance, to the coffee, to the desserts, to the staff was amazing. We ordered the chocolate croissant which was quite delicious. I also ordered a cappuccino and some macaroons both were incredibly yummy. I would highly recommend grabbing your next coffee or dessert here. You won’t regret it. Also, this place is decorated really cute – it felt like I was at a French café.

Had such high hopes after dining at the Grey Sweater the night before. Walked in for coffee & pastries. Inquired about the cava & cheese experience; was told the chef could pull it together in about 30 min (typically advance notice is required). That turned into 1hr+.

Busy afternoon & they seemed completely understaffed. The manager did everything except make coffee. Tables sat dirty literally for hours (the one pictured here next to the window was dirty when we arrived and stayed that way until the last 10 min of our hours long stay).

But here’s what was most concerning, with a direct view of the kitchen, I noticed that none of the staff wore gloves when plating food. I also noticed the “chef” sweeping and then going back to plating food and they did not appear to wash their hands in between.

When the cheese plate arrived the cheddar had dry spots as if it had been sitting out too long or just was not fresh; and the manager served it with a smile never acknowledging our extended wait or gratitude for our patience.

This cannot be the experience Chef Black envisioned.

I was disappointed in this cafe. It looks so beautiful and the pastries look amazing but it just looks pretty. The latte was okay with terrible latte art. If you’re going to do art on a latte going out, it should look halfway decent. The pastries were still cold in the middle even though we had them warmed and definitely didn’t taste anywhere near as good as they looked. The girls working were very kind and attentive and were easily the best at part of the experience.

If you’re visiting from out of town, I’d recommend EOTE over the Gilded Acorn. They have a different vibe for sure, but way more authentic and better execution.

Everything was 10/10!! It’s so beautiful inside! I got me a avocado toast and potatoes on the side, best avocado toast I’ve had! Also asked what was their best coffee. I don’t remember the name but definitely was amazing! I recommend for sure!
