An absolute favorite spot on Lake Como. We try to hit this place for breakfast often when we visit the Lake Geneva area. Amazing views from the windows overlooking the lake. Service is always excellent-very friendly! The food is absolutely amazing-huge servings! It’s a wonderful dinner and drinks spot on the evenings as well. A must try – you will return!

It was a total 5/5 experience. The older lady who was our server was one of the best servers I have had in awhile. She worked hard for us and got us anything we needed. The meatball app was very flavorful. The shrimp scampi was a good size portion and also very tasty with lots of a shrimp. The restaurant is located in the Inn, right on Lake Como. Awesome experience.

What an absolutely fantastic place to eat breakfast lunch and dinner.
We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful hotel on the water and we’re here during restaurant week in lake Geneva so we got to try specialty items available on the menu.
We ended up eating at this restaurant almost every day because the prices were good and the food was excellent.
The wait staff is very kind and attentive and they have a good rhythm for keeping busy tables moving smoothly.
On Monday night there was an awesome band covering all genres of pop music rock country and classics.
The restaurant features a full bar with lots of room for guests to sit together.
We had some of the best prime rib for dinner and I absolutely loved the chicken marsala.
The portions are generous and the attention to detail when plating is very very good.
Recommend you do make a reservation when planning to eat dinner especially Friday and Saturday nights.
While we were staying at the hotel, we had an intimate and sumptuous breakfast, with locally sourced sausage and bacon. Chef Michael personally brought out our breakfast and made sure that everything was to our liking. The blueberry pancakes were to die for and the bacon was honestly the best ever.
We’ve stayed at the hotel for a week and have honestly eating at the restaurant at least six times and had dinner at the restaurant three times and counting.
If you’re not staying at the hotel, definitely check out the Getaway on lake Como for all your family celebrations or those intimate dinners.

Great Friday Fish Fry at The Getaway on Lake Como. We were glad to have reservations & were seated quickly. Nice atmosphere, light and comfortable. Baked Fish Fry was on point and reasonably priced. We loved the appetizers and really enjoyed our visit.

We went here because another local establishment was 1.5 hour wait and I’m super happy we did. Amy was our very nice and attentive waitress. Great bourbon selection with available flight options. Lots of stuff that’s hard to find that you can try for reasonable prices. Shrimp DeJonghe app was fantastic! About 16 shrimp with a loaf of fresh bread to boot. Grouper was great, shrimp Diablo was great, seafood bisque and hot bacon spinach salad were fantastic too. Food was Hot which seems to be a problem these days. Couldn’t be happier. Music Monday they had a live singer too. Can’t wait to go back.

The Getaway on Lake Como is attached to the French Country Inn on the Lake in Lake Geneva, WI. All I can say is WOW! We had both dinner on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning while we stayed in the Inn.
Let’s start off with the atmosphere. The Getaway is elegant with a French farmhouse feel. There is a large fireplace at the entrance when you enter from the lobby.
We did have reservations and I would recommend reservations for dinner on a weekend. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was right there to take our drink order and tell us about the specials.
To add to the ambiance, there was a live guitarist that was very talented playing soft jazz versions of many popular songs. He even played some Led Zeppelin. However, his music was soft and not interfering with our conversation even though we were just a few feet from where he was playing.
We ordered and the food came quickly and was excellent. The service was outstanding and the views of the lake incredible.
The next morning we ate breakfast. We ordered coffee, tea and 3 biscuits with various butters and honey. Well these were not your mother’s biscuits. They were huge and tasted light and flaky. We also ordered eggs, sausage and pancakes. Again the service was excellent and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend the Getaway when you are in the Lake Geneva region!

Nothing was wrong with this place. Everything was good. I gave the food a 4 because my shrimp scampi was INCREDIBLE but, my boyfriends spaghetti and meatballs wasn’t that great. Also, toward the end of the night we moved over by the bar area. They had a female singer come in- but she was just God awful. It was older music , I knew it- but that ended the night for us.

This is the best kept secret, we were celebrating our anniversary and they ( the people that work there) made it extra special, from the clerk at check in to our waiter at dinner ( which by the way was awesome) the fireplace was such a romantic touch. If you ever go there ask for Dave , he is the epitome of excellence in customer service, ( I know he didn’t know it was our anniversary but he sure did treat us as if he knew) we will definitely be back. We are going to try for the summer this time. Best place ever!!! I know that there may be other good places in Lake Geneva but not for us. This is it!!!

I have now been here three times over the last month. We have had Theresa as our waitress everytime. After her amazing service the first two times, we asked to be seated at one of her tables today. We always get the biscuits and they have a spectacular variety of spreads. They have amazing fresh squeezed orange juice as well. Super pleased with our service! The food has always been phenomenal and was made promptly. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family.
