I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw! Y’all I am picky about my coleslaw and theirs is delicious! 10/10! My boyfriend ordered a steak and he’s very particular about his steak and he absolutely loved it! He said “oh honey we will be back!” Our waitress was a doll and we really enjoyed our experience on a day that was extremely special to us!

We left the caverns and we’re starving. We passed this place and looked it up online because we weren’t sure what it was as the sign didn’t reflect it was a restaurant. The building is very pretty. The waitress was super nice and attentive. We got the brisket and the pork plates. Each plate was more than one person could eat! The brisket was beautiful and tasted good. But that pulled pork was the best I’ve had in a long time!!! I would highly recommend! Only complaint is their Mac and cheese (although good) isn’t homemade, nor is the potato salad. I would highly recommend!

10/10 recommend stopping here for some delicious food and an ice cold adult beverage! The Gathering Place is a regular stop for us & even our kiddos love the food & atmosphere. A bonus is that it’s reasonably priced for the quality of food- our “go to” meals are the Ribeye, grilled chicken/steak salads, the pulled pork plate, & the street corn dip appetizer.

The Barbecue Plate I had as a takeout last week was some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had. Greg and team have made big improvements to the menu and service. This place is such an unexpected find in a tiny town off the beaten path. An amazing restoration of an old business (I first visited in 1975 when it was a general store).
