Nothing defeats me like a huge Americano breakfast. I know it’s, ‘…the most important meal of the day,’ but since retirement I generally have meals like these for din-din, and not first thing in the AM. With my metabolism, it’s always a knock out punch. This was timed right, because the Wifey, Daughter, and SIL all went to daub bingo cards at the casino for 4 hours, and Daaaaaddy could curl up with warm blankets in the chilly RV while they did so. Worked to perfection. Beyond that, it was nice to re-visit this staple of Benewah County. Such nice folks here…

This place is outstanding! The food was absolutely fantastic ! I lived I atmosphere of the place vary inviting and comfortable. The waitress was very nice and good at her job. I would definitely recommend this place for any time, really. I wasn’t really expecting much from this towns food, but this, the place changed my mind about the food. Once again, the food was great, and the service was amazing.

All of the food was delicious. We had the chicken fried steak one with mashed potatoes and one with the loaded baked potato and the triple BLT with fries. Everything came out fairly quickly and absolutely hot. Our waitress was so super sweet and very attentive. Definitely happy we stopped in here when we were passing through.

We stopped in for an early dinner. The staff was very nice and very attentive. Our food was delicious. We are so glad we stopped here. If you are passing through Plummer, be sure to stop in for a bite. We ordered pie to go and it was so delicious.

Nice quite out of the way place. Great food great service. The place was very busy but we felt like we could still have a conversation without yelling. It was a little slow getting the bill but that is so much better then felling like your being rushed out when you get the bill while your still eating.

Stopped in with a group riding motorcycles and had bowl of chili (I added onions and cheese) with garlic toast. Nice meal to warm me up on a cold day. Great coffee, pleasant staff, clean restrooms. Some of the others had been there before and I’m certain we’ll return in the future!

Did an order online because they close at 3pm. Great burger (see pic). Double cheese burger with bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, onions, ketchup, mayo and fresh crinkle fries. Hungry yet?

I had some time to kill so I popped in for a bite to eat. The place was pretty empty so I was seated immediately. My server, Jodi, was very attentive and kind with a warming smile. I was craving a burger so I opted for the Bacon Cheeseburger with a little nudge from Jodi. She stated that the patties were hand formed and assured me that their bacon was delicious. A short 10 minutes later my food arrived. The shiny toasted bun and the stack of fresh lettuce, tomato, sliced onion and pickles made me excited to build it! A bonus we’re the crisy fresh cut fries! Accompanied with house made fry sauce. The perfectly seasoned burger, fresh veggies and soft bun was exactly what I was craving. All in all I had a great meal. I would highly recommend The Gateway Cafe to anyone that happens to find themselves in Plummer Idaho. Happy eating!

Great stop on our bike ride. We were pleasantly surprised by this out of the way spot. My white Swiss burger with shoestring house cut fries was delicious. The environment is spacious and clean. Our waitress was very busy but she didn’t miss a beat. Prices can’t be beat. Wish I lived nearby
