Absolutely amazing experience! A must this summer.
Patio is absolutely stunning and symphony nights just make it even more magical.

Food was great too. Our server Meredith was amazing on top of everything!
Definitely gonna come back!

I didn’t go in with much expectations after reading the reviews. Not sure if it’s because i booked an early dinner but I got there 15 min earlier than my reservation. We went to the waiting area and it was socially distanced, we were served ice water while we waited. After getting seated, the server came around and we ordered. Overall the experience wasn’t bad at all, timely service and quite pleasant. My food was tasty and the plating wasn’t that bad (compared to others’). Just a bit pricey but you are paying to eat at The Gardens at casa loma.

Great experience – we were booked for 4pm and everything went smoothly. Seated near the fountain, food was like any other restaurant ($20-$40) on average, reasonable portions, waiter was nice and quick with drinks and food. We went over our time a little bit because our desserts came out late and we felt a bit rushed but it wasn’t too bad. The atmosphere is what you’re really going for – love music and the decor is beautiful!!

The experience was amazing.
First time going there for Birthday dinner.
Food was good but a little dry, staff were friendly however the waitress didn’t check up on us as often specially when it got a bit busy.
The set up was amazing, very romantic and peaceful.
Will definitely go back
Worth the experience

As a vendor working with a floral company, I had high hopes for working at Casa Loma, given its reputation and stunning venue space. Unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of disappointing, and I feel compelled to share what happened in hopes that other small businesses and young entrepreneurs are treated more respectfully in the future.
We signed a contract that clearly stated pickup time was scheduled for 1:00 AM. However, when we arrived at that time, security refused to let us in, telling us we had to wait until “all guests leave.” We waited patiently until around 1:30 AM and asked again if we could begin our breakdown. The security guard curtly replied, “Not any time soon, there are still guests here,” despite the visible absence of guest activity.
Frustrated but still professional, we went around to the back to retrieve our candles and decor that were placed outside. To our surprise, all the tables were already cleared, and our materials had been moved without any notification. It was clear that the event had wrapped up, and there was no legitimate reason for the delay or the treatment we received.
Throughout the process, staff and managers were dismissive, unprofessional, and at times outright rude. We were laughed at, questioned aggressively about our company name, and made to feel like our presence was a nuisance rather than part of the team that helped make the event beautiful. It was clear we were being treated differently—perhaps due to our age—which is unacceptable in any professional environment.
To future couples and vendors:
While the idea of having a wedding in a castle is magical, I would strongly advise against booking with Casa Loma if you value respect, professionalism, and fair treatment of your vendors. A beautiful venue means nothing if the staff behind it lack courtesy and integrity.
We left feeling disrespected and dismissed—not because of any failure on our part, but because we were young professionals trying to do our job.

Disappointing. I was looking forward to a nice meal outdoors, first one in 10 months after lockdown. Very poor service. Nothing special about the food. Very expensive for what you get. They forgot an appetizer plate and we had to ask for cutlery. We decided to split the mixed grill entree between two people and they didn’t give us proper knives or plates for sharing. Meal was VERY rushed. Beautiful grounds. Wouldn’t go back. Blue Blood upstairs is more $$$ but the service and quality of food far surpasses The Garden.

They had allocated the gardens to wedding venues before, but due to COVID-19 pandemic, they opened this site to the public this summer for the first time. The Garden is amid the castle’s stunning gardens and offers guests the splendid view of Toronto skyline, CN Tower and the historic Casa Loma castle.

You need to book through OpenTable and there is no other way around it. They usually get fully booked way ahead of time; especially if you want to go in with a group of people.

There are limited parking spots available in the castle parking lot and Upon arrival, you need to pay $15 to be able to use the parking. The hostess didn’t seem that welcoming or friendly. We waited a few minutes to be seated. We ordered Martini, Rose and Mojito for drinks and medium “Steak Frites”, “Brisket & Chuck Burger” and “Grilled Octopus” for our meal. Our drinks tasted ok, steak was delicious, but the brisket was burned, which is not acceptable for a high-end restaurant, but I guess they believe people go there for the view and not the food quality!

Once we were finished with our meal and our waitress made sure we’re not ordering anymore, she brought us the bill without asking, even though there were many empty tables. So, we paid and did a walk around the garden and fountain and left.

It was worth the experience. Amazing views and I highly recommend coming here during the evening. Our waiters and service were great. We didn’t have to wait too long for food. That said, the food definitely falls flat like most have mentioned. For what you can get elsewhere for the same dish. This falls below standards. Come here for a drink, watch the views and appreciate the beauty of the castle.

Such a nice experience and great food. The parking situation was not good, we had to go to George brown to park and walk over but as soon as you arrive the staff is fantastic and so friendly. We ordered 2 appetizers which were so delicious, the tuna nachos and crab fritters. Our table ordered a few different mains but I’d say the mushroom cannelloni was the winner, the lobster ravioli was also delicious and although I didn’t try it myself I heard the burger was also great (the fries were surprisingly not great) but amazing nonetheless. The only suggestions I have is to not provide plastic cups or plastic straws.

Worst place I have ever been to, booked it for me and my partner’s anniversary dinner, thinking cause it was Casa Loma it should have good food. Boy was I wrong.

When we got there, they sat us at a makeshift table, it looks like those tables that were not meant to be dining table, as both me and my partner could not at all put our legs in front of us, we literally had to put our legs on the side or sit like a squat.

We then waited a good 15 minutes until our server came, thinking the hostess forgot to notify the waiter we were seated, but the waiter that served us we saw walk around our table a good 3 to 4 times.

We are this point were ready to order our meal, we got tap water as we were already annoyed at the service and just wanted to eat and look at the view.

I ordered the brisk burger while my partner ordered the grilled salmon. The burger was overcooked and dried, no sauce at all, the brie was on half the burger, the leaf/lettuce was a small little thing that didn’t even cover the burger, had ONE small tomato slice. Then comes the fries, totally undercooked, not seasoned, for that meal to be $24, I could get something a lot better somewhere else.

The grilled salmon on the other hand, costing $30, he expected the salmon to be either wild or organic, it was neither. It had a small balsamic vinegar salad, then the salmon has no sauce, literally a drop the size of your thumb of lemon aioli, enough for a bite and a half. The only good part of the salmon, is the 4 asparagus that the salmon was on.

At the end, when we ask for the waiter for the bill, he came over with the bill, but was hovering over us when we were paying, gesturing for a minimum of 20% tip.

Overall, not worth the price or time, would rather pay for admission and just take pictures of the castle and gardens.
