The matcha latte was made well and tasted good. The muffins were also good, including the gluten free one. However, the service was not on par for such a cute coffee shop with Christian details. I walked in and was not greeted by either of the women working, they both looked up at me and didn’t say hi until after I greeted them first. $24 + 15% tip for 2 12 oz matchas and 2 muffins, the service expectation I had was not met bc it was not warm and inviting or even friendly but instead it was dry. I had to ask for a drink carrier and stoppers, which would have been fine especially if they were busy but I was the only person being waited on , I was not inconveniencing them – so I felt they should have been more attentive and at the bare minimum friendly especially for the costs of their products.

Me and my partner were on a road trip and decided to stop to get some coffee. The place is really cute and the girl that took our order was the sweetest!! Both our coffees were really tasty. I wish we had a good coffee shop like this close to our town!! Definitely will stop by every time I’m around!!

A thoughtful, tasteful, quaint coffee shop! The coffee itself is amazing, and the shop itself is a great place to gather! So many seating options, from comfy couches to booths, high tops, and an area for kids to play! Free wifi, tasty food (and the frozen hot chocolate is a great non-coffee treat on a hot day!).
Why an amazing addition to the cozy little town of Wakarusa!

I was looking forward to trying The Garage, but my visit was an utter disappointment that felt more like a prank than a professional coffee experience.
I ordered a simple macchiato, and what I received tasted like a tragic mistake: weak, over-extracted old black coffee that someone had haphazardly splashed with a bit of cheap creamer. There was no hint of espresso quality, no texture, and absolutely none of the rich, layered flavor you expect from a specialty drink.
Frankly, I have had significantly better coffee at a truck stop—and I mean the kind you get from a self-serve dispenser at 3:00 AM. That coffee, at least, is honest about what it is. The macchiato from The Garage tries to charge a premium for a product that is barely drinkable.
If the basic craftsmanship of a macchiato is this fundamentally flawed, I have serious doubts about everything else they serve. Save your money and your taste buds. This place needs a complete overhaul before it can call itself a coffee shop. Avoid.

This was the first time stopping here as we wanted to try someplace new. The raspberry roll was dry, like it was a couple days old. But, sadly, the roll was the best part. My husband’s half-caff mocha was not hot and barely had any coffee flavor. I ordered (we ordered at the same time) a half-caff raspberry mocha.
Several customers after us received their drinks after my husband. We had to go up and ask about mine. They said it was next – then had to ask what I ordered – and again what flavors I wanted in it.
When I got it – it was barely warm. It had zero coffee flavor. Zero mocha. I had lukewarm raspberry milk. I pitched it and we left. We regret stopping. The atmosphere was nice though.

The Garage gets 5 stars across the board! The drinks, atmosphere, service and staff are absolutely incredible. It’s a MUST visit while in the area. There’s a diverse selection of seating and a very clean bathroom! If I could give an award for The Best Coffee House in the state, it would be this one!

A great use for the space, Garage Coffee Shop is a welcoming place. I got the lemon muffin and a black coffee which were both very good. The muffin has a mild and pleasant flavor.
