I’m not a huge fan of burgers but the one I had was phenomenal. The fries tasted homemade, they were a bit too salty though. Everything else was perfect. The service was great and they have a pretty nice outdoor seating area.

Wait staff was great very attentive. We started off with alligator bites which were fantastic and the whitefish fingers again delicious then we had the white fish sandwich the garlic Dill Mayo you can put that on anything. We also had the Mac attack very big burger again very good. Love the hand cut fries. I would say the only downfall is you only get one refill on a pop. Also it’s closer $20 per person without appetizers. Most sandwiches were above $15.

Today I had lunch at the Gangplank Restaurant at100 South N State St, in St Ignace, MI Although I had to wait about thirty minutes, it was worth it and not s big deal I had all day and it was nice out. The guys handling the customers did a real nice job. I ordered the blue cheese olive burger. It was very interesting, I never had cheddar cheese and olives on a blue cheese burger. The fries were kind of weak but the service was great

My wife and I visited the Gangplank on July 1st, 2024. The restaurant is all outdoor seating (covered) across the street from a marine. It’s a really nice view. Decor was nice, seats were comfortable. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated.
I ordered the TBR Pita which has pastrami seasoned turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and ranch on a grilled pita. It came with some tortilla chips and house made salsa (salsa is $2.50 extra). My meal was excellent. I loved the sandwich, everything worked well together and it was pretty large. The house salsa was really good, but I do wish you were given a bit more, it’s a pretty small serving size for $2.50.
My wife order the BBQ and Bacon Burger. She liked it, but the red onion which was supposed to be grilled were raw red onion. She really liked the fries they serve.
Overall, it was a good experience. Would likely visit again.

Staff was amazing, they said they were short staffed but we would have never known. Recommended appetizer & main dishes were on point. Vegetarian meals were fantastic. Animal fries, cheese curds, Asain rice bowl with cauliflower. Great outdoor seating area, nice view of the bay & fireworks when they are going off. Seasonal restaurant.

We chose the Gangplank after reading online reviews, and found that the food and atmosphere were as great as advertised! Our group ordered two “Walk the Plank” burgers as well as animal fries and whitefish. Everything was exceptional and I will definitely be bringing the family back here in the future.

I cannot remember the last time I cleaned my (very full) plate at a restaurant. I chose this place for my family and in-laws because of the vibe and rating on Google Maps, and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of unique takes on classic foods. The vibes were excellent (wish there wasn’t a road between the restaurant and lake, but not their fault), the service was great, the fries were incredible, and the food … WOW it was good. Everyone was satisfied. Will definitely come back again when visiting the area.
