Owners, management, and staff were incredibly friendly. Service was perfect. Food? Amazing! Chicken Fried Steak, pancakes, waffles, and Omelettes all great. We will be back. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.

Delicious food. Quality ingredients, service was great. Plenty of table touching. Not an easy place to find. It is tucked away in a shopping center. Place was packed on a Saturday morning. It is a large restaurant so sitting you down would probably happen quickly as it did for us.

Yes! 5 stars all the way. Much better food quality than other chain places in a 20 mile radius.

I will definitely be back here. This place is truly a Hidden Gem within the Conejo Valley community.

I feel like their prices are fair, and you do get your money’s worth.

The service was great! Came in here on a weekday just before noon, and had a wonderful brunch breakfast with eggs benedict, pancakes and a sandwich with a couple friends.

Eggs Benedict were perfectly poached. The English muffin was crispy, and the sauce was tangy, creamy and buttery.

The pancakes were light and fluffy, and served Hot. Perfect temperature to melt some added butter on top.

The turkey and ham sandwich was great! Very tasty. Nicely toasted bread, and the side of fries were crispy and light.

I would definitely say this is a great spot for families, a business breakfast, good date spot, and also a great place for tourists traveling through the area who are looking for good food, served quick, at an affordable price.

Parking is definitely plentiful, and free. There’s a huge lot with a couple handicap spaces as well.

Tell them I sent you, and please mention this review.

The outdoor patio area was nice and shady and very quiet. There were a few Doggo’s and that was nice because i brought mine. The surface was amazing and everything was tended to and there was very little waiting from order to serving.

The Food:
Unfortunately, the biscuits and gravy was an amazing portion however, the biscuit was very dry and bland. The gravy was heavy on the flower and had a weird bouillon aftertaste with no sausage in it whatsoever. So that really kills the enthusiasm. The corned beef and Hash came out of a can so it was bland, but the hashbrowns were fried upon request and came out really well. For some reason, paying $4 for a cup of coffee or $3.50 for a glass of iced tea just was not tempting. I’m glad I did not try the steak because it the menu not even describe what kind of steak you get for the breakfast plate.

Newly opened and remodeled, The Galloping Hen is an awesome replacement for the old Tommy’s. The food is excellent and the prices are really reasonable. Definitely great food at a great price. The staff is friendly and attentive. Esteban, the owner, comes around and makes sure everything is good. Opened for breakfast and lunch. An omelet with toast and potato’s is 13.99.
Coffee is really good too.
Very clean.

What an excellent breakfast and lunch gem in Thousand Oaks. Walked by while dropping off my car and popped in for some breakfast. Thought I knew what I wanted but their chilaquiles were so highly recommended that I decided on that.

It was outstanding! I was practically licking the plate. I don’t live very close but told my wife we had to go back out there just for the meal. Do yourself a favor and come eat here!

A few months ago, my wife and I came in and had a phenomenal breakfast. Angel served us, he was fantastic! He was kind, polite, attentive and overall an awesome guy. We had the Minestrone soup and the avocado toast and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

Came out from out of town and this caught my eye. I’m big on breakfast and was looking for a good breakfast spot and glad I found this. Service was great, environment was nice and clean but most of all the food was delicious. I ask the waitress what she recommended and she said the chilaquiles and I was not disappointed. Friendly staff was the cherry on top. All in all, great spot and worth the visit.

I was excited to eat here because it had a 4.8 rating but I do not agree. My pancakes were rubbery. The potatoes were dry little cubes that didn’t come together cohesively with the onion and bell peppers in one comforting home style dish. I just wasn’t happy with it. :(. The servers were pleasant and attentive.
