Honestly and amazing experience. We walked in at 630pm on a Wednesday and tables were full, but we managed to snag the last 2 seats at the bar top (thanks to a wonderful couple who moved over to give us the last 2 seats together). The service was impeccable, and the drinks were wonderful (a strong free-pour bartender lol). As a heads up, the menu at the restaurant is slightly different than the one online. Looks like it’s been updated recently! We ordered the tuna tartare, the pan roasted chicken dish, and the special – the swordfish. Every dish was AMAZING, and the serving sizes are very large! Had I known the servings were so big I wouldn’t have ordered the appetizer lol!! The tuna tartare was huge, but delicious and I highly recommend. Our two mains were also spot-on. Chicken and swordfish were both well cooked. The bartender convinced us to also get the 7-layer carrot cake for dessert and it was also phenomenal. Would highly recommend and will come again when back in Stuart!

We really liked this place a lot. Everything in this place was exceptional, except for the hostesses. We Got there early and so we went and sat in the bar and had a drink and waited for our table to be ready. We checked in with the hostess and told the hostess that we would be sitting in the bar. 15 minutes after our reservation time, my husband went up to the hostess to check on our table. She said that she had been trying to text or call us, however, we had no missed phone calls, and no text messages on the number in which we gave the reservation. She said your table is ready. And my husband said OK well we’re sitting at the bar. So we sat there for about 10 more minutes, waiting for her to come and get us. No one arrived. We went back to the hostess stand again, and she said, Oh, Well, I told you to come up to the hostess stand, and that I would see you. I was waiting for you. Shaking my head. Epic fail. We wrote it off to youth. Management – have a talk with your hostess stand. Other than that, The food, Service, Drinks, Atmosphere, was exceptional. We would definitely go back and we would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely incredible as always with the family of restaurants owned by the Wilson Family. The food was a 20/10 and was completely devoured. We have driven over 3 hours to go to Palm City Social the other restaurant owned by Chef Taylor and his Dad and this one definitely didn’t disappoint either. Locals you are definitely spoiled to have such incredible food and hospitality nearby. Please go out and support this amazing family and both restaurants.

We made reservation early today. I parked like three blocks and we came in here amazing so we definitely Make it a weekend outing. The double pork chops were beyond amazing and my wife had Crusted snapper. Out of this world definitely will become regulars/ I was going to take the photo before I started, but once I tasted, it couldn’t help myself next time

Had a visit in town for my Birthday getaway. Heard about the Gafford and decided it has best steaks! We were unfortunately unhappy with our seating in bar, the only short table in there! Was weird to be sitting below everyone in there and had no idea that we could’ve gotten a tall table if we had to come a little bit earlier and just not worried about reservations. Decided to stay because of the recommendation for steaks. My steak the Gafford) came out, perfectly, medium and tender, but with absolutely no taste. The wine and green beans were perfect, but did not like the mac & cheese that came with the steak as it was very smoky. My husband‘s meal was a filet and so-so. We were never offered a dessert menu. I felt a real let down on my birthday! Yay!! Green beans and Wine! lol Close to $200 dinner and yes I tipped!! Just feel let down….Thanks-Susie

I absolutely love The Gafford! Everyone that works there is very friendly and the food is always good! The owner really cares about his restaurant and you can often find him walking around to check on customers to make sure they are doing good. This is my daughter and I’s favorite restaurant! A few months ago when my daughter (11) and I were there (we’ve been there since de then also) the owner/manager complemented her for “eating her bread in a fancy way” and brought out more bread for her. It made her so happy.

Took my wife here for a belated Valentines Day dinner. We were sat outside, where the tables were close enough together that it felt like you were sitting with your neighbors. I’m not sure if this was standard or they had packed more tables in because Valentines Day was the night before.
When it came time to order, we were extremely disappointed to find out that they were out of 5 or 6 items (The Gafford, Crab Cakes, and several others). During our meal, they ran out of two more, including the cheesecake and Tuna Tartare.
From there, our food took nearly two hours. Other couples had been sat, finished, and left, as we waited. It felt like maybe the kitchen forgot about our meals. It took 10 minutes just to get us a dessert menu. We ended up having to get dessert to go because we were cutting it close on the 3 hour window we had told our babysitter.
Overall we were pretty disappointed – our Valentine’s dinner was not as special as we’d hoped. The food and drinks were excellent enough that despite everything else, we still plan to return at some point to give the restaurant another chance next time we return to Florida.

Reservations last night honoring our oldest son’s birthday. Busy evening. The kitchen was hopping next to our table of four. Abby knew of the birthday and added her humor to the evening and could not have provided more attention to our comfort. Four unique entrees. All exceptional. The seven layer carrot cake and coffee were the perfect end to the evening.

The gafford is another amazing gem in stewart. I was seating was delayed for a 1/2 an hour.Due to how busy this wonderful location is. The manager was apologetic and gave us two wonderful complimentary charcuterie boards for our party of eight. Then it was exquisite service was amazing. We can’t wait to revisit.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Traveling through Stuart. This place was recommended. When I saw the menu I did not think it was for me. I was wrong. Sea Bass and cauliflower were amazing. The rice and Broccoli had enough of a taste to be a meal on its own. Family member said the meatloaf was fantastic as well. Staff is very friendly. You can tell the owners treat them well. They are honest and upfront about including gratuity not like in Fr. Lauderdale.
