If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in St Andrews by the Sea, look no further than The Gables pub! This charming establishment offers a perfect blend of cozy atmosphere and outstanding food.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the lobster—cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. It’s a must-try! The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a delightful meal.
With its inviting ambiance and delicious menu, The Gables is a true gem. I can’t recommend it enough! Five stars all the way!

We went there Saturday, at around 530pm but we were seated 10 past 6. There was a long queue, probably because nearby restaurants were closed on a weekend and around that time.
But we had no regrets for waiting, coz the food serving and the taste were really awesome. We were filled to the brim and satisfied.

Many places to choose from while in Saint Andrews, but this place has a patio right on the water with a beautiful view of the local harbour and surrounding area. Food was delish with friendly service, many choices on the menu! Seafood chowder was very hearty with lots of ingredients.

We had the grilled chicken burger with side salad and a burger with fries. We choose this spot because we were very hungry and needed food asap. We were then happily surprised that our dishes were delicious! Well above the average for what we ordered (the only downside were the fries because I personally do not like coated fries).
What a fantastic relaxing patio and view!!!! Seating was slow, the place needs some love, care, cleaning, and updates! However, all was forgiven because the patio is magic, our food was good, and our server was working really hard to make sure everyone was treated well.

Went for wonderful whale watching and ate here.
Food was alright. We had fish and chips, seafood platter, lobster sandwich, and rib eye steak.
Paid nearly over than 150 cad, was expensive. Skip the lobster sandwich, not worth the hype.
Seating were good. Was very busy so it was very loud and service was slow. Overall it was OK.

Beautiful view. Service was slower than slow. Food was good but very heavy and not seasoned very well. Come for the view.

It’s definitely one of our favorite restaurants in St Andrews. The food is always good, and their terrace might be the nicest one. Trees are growing within and around the terrace, making it a beautiful cool place to sit down with a drink and have an amazing meal. The view is absolutely fantastic. The staff is super friendly and does not make you feel rushed. We have waited to get into the restaurant and it is very worth it.

(Didn’t love the lobster roll unfortunately, but everything else is great!)

Decided to try this place out because the place looked cool and it had a Lobster at the front. We got in pretty quickly and seated indoors. The place had a nice patio but it was cool outside so we decided to stay in. Ordered the Lobster roll and upgraded the side to a salad and the other was the fried scallop. The food was good and fresh and decent size portions. Ordered the peanut butter cheesecake which was also delicious but too sweet for my liking however my partner liked it. It got busy on a Saturday evening. Our server was good and came by to check on us.

Through the maze that is the back yard lies this little gem. We were sat outside with prime views to a low tide on a hot summer day with a nice cross breeze.
I had the mitchburger which was solid goodness and the flavours just popped. The fries were a family favourite.
Daughter had a surprising size for the fish so she was happy and most certainly did not go away hungry.
Wife had the turkey wrap which was ok albeit she would have preferred bread over the wrap.
Parking is going to be the biggest challenge across the town. Be prepared to walk.
