Nice atmosphere but pricey. For 80cad per guest, I would not expect ripped table clothes and paper napkins. The pasta was delicious but the chicken on it, a little hard. Gambers salad had 3 small shrimps only. The waitress amazing but she could have more help.

We got a seafood pasta and lamb with a blueberry sauce.
The blueberry sauce was so unique and went with the lamb so well. The veggies and mashed potatoes that came with the lamb were also really excellent.
The flavours of the pasta were so well-balanced. It was super tasty!!
We say on the patio which is a really lovely space. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. And at the end of the meal we chatted with the owner and she was lovely as well!

The food was nice, but not very refined, the wine was great.
Service was very nice.
The atmosphere was cosy, but very dark (we took our flashlights to read the menu) and the style was a little bit old.
Overall though one of the nicest restaurants we know of in this region.

Very pretty place with quiet music in the background. Only complaint was no dealcolized wine or beer. I had wild mushroom crostini and mixed grilled meats. Both were delicious and good portions. Grilled meat was sausage, steak, chicken and pork tenderloin. Brought half home. My husband had grilled shrimp and chicken saltimbocca and enjoyed both.

Just went to the gables restaurant for dinner . I can’t express how lovely a dinner we had. The ambiance was lovely . The house itself has some beautiful features the windows high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers all adding to the feeling of fine dining. And then the food…. The starter gorgeous, the entrees including the steak, lamb and pasta all done to perfection and the desert sublime. I haven’t a bad word to say. So many restaurants have disappointed us lately but we will definitely be back to The Gables in Brighton.

This was a true treat. What a beautiful restaurant. We were greeted by a delightful woman and we chose to eat on the patio. We ordered a Caesar which was delicious and started out with octopus. Now I have ordered octopus at many restaurants and this was spectacular. It was so tender and absolutely blasting with flavour. There were also some shrimp which again…the taste and flavour was refreshing and different. Chef Jay is really an amazing chef and in my opinion he is the best in the area. My wife had the seafood medley with mixed grilled vegetables….again….so much flavour and you enjoyed every bite. The wine Lemon sauce was so good and not over lemoned. Simply amazing. I chose the beef stroganoff which did not disappoint and it is chef Jays sauces that truly set his food apart from the others. The pricing was excellent for the experience and quality delivered….we will be back!
