Excellent location, fresh food, small building, very affordable prices for their combos. The place is small but the quality of the food items makes you feel like you are having a burguer at someone’s house rather than a restaurant and that is great on my book. Simple menu, large amount of options to include ice cream, and brownies. The burgers are large, the fries fresh and steamy hot put of the fryer, the beef in the patties house made and prepared with care very tasty burgers. Overall a great experience passing through the town on the way to Sputh Padre Island. We will be back soon with family and friends. One last thing this is not fast food, they take their time with the preparation, even to go orders take time so go in order, sip on your drink and relax is going to be a while but you will be glad you did and will leave with a smile.

We grabbed the Old Timer burger and the chicken tenders, and both were spot-on. My burger had that perfect balance—crispy, fresh lettuce and tomatoes paired with a hot, freshly-grilled patty. My wife’s chicken tenders were piping hot, seasoned well, and genuinely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, nothing sat under a heat lamp, and you can tell they take pride in their food. A great little ‘50s diner with quality to match the vibe.

Stopped here on the way home from the Valley, and it was the perfect little diner break.
My husband went for the Tortilla Burger, my brother tried the Old Timer, and my sister-in-law and I stuck with the classic Frost Burger. Every single one hit the spot—juicy, well-seasoned patties, fresh toppings, and you can tell the cook takes pride in making them right. The fries were perfectly crispy, the kind that make every bite extra satisfying.
It’s not fancy dining—it’s a small, cozy spot serving really solid burgers done right. We all left full, happy, and smiling. Definitely worth the stop if you’re passing through!

Passing through from Galveston. This diner is the real deal. Old fashioned 50’s era. Some burgers have jalapenos but a more of a good flavor. Huge onion rings. This place is a bucket list definitely

Every other weekend I make the drive to Victoria, TX. And every time, I’ve passed this one sign in Woodsboro, TX: The Frosty 50’s Diner. Countless times. Never stopped.
But this past weekend… I finally pulled in. My wife? Already fed up with me. Pulling off the highway wasn’t helping. I tell her, “Just trust me.” She looks at me and says, “This better be good, Patrick.”
We roll up, and the first thing I see—through the window—is my guy on the grill, tall white tee, white du-rag, working the spatula like he owns the place. Right then, I knew… this was the spot.
The burger? So good I didn’t even take a picture of it. And that’s saying something, because I always take the picture. My wife, who literally just had burgers the night before, went with the quesadilla. She said it was awesome. Kiddo? Happy as can be with the corndog.
Fries came out piping hot and crispy. Milkshake? Perfect. Old-school diner vibes, thick and sweet, just how it should be. Customer service? Top notch. Everyone treated us like regulars.
Bottom line: If you’re driving through Woodsboro you see the Frosty 50’s sign—don’t keep driving like I did for months. Pull in. Trust me. You gotta get in here.

We were on our way back home and my son said he wanted a burger to which all of his friends agreed. I asked him to look up a place and he found The Frosty 50’s Diner in Woodsboro, TX! The name itself immediately set up my expectations that the burger would be a good one. I wasn’t wrong. That burger was big and delicious! I had the Old Timer as-is and it was awesome. The 4 kids each had the #4 Frosty Cheeseburger and all of them loved it. It was only a 15 minute detour from our route, but was worth every minute. Thanks! I’ll be back.

This is the best burger around! We found this little gem 2 years ago and make the drive from Corpus about once a month to have their old school burger! The staff is friendly, the service is great, and the food outshines both. It’s worth the drive.
