My sister and I absolutely enjoy this restaurant! Family owned with great food and top-notch friendly service. They know how to make their customers truly feel like part of their family. Will & Diana make some delicious meatloaf, catfish, sandwiches, burgers, deserts, etc. and everyday there’s a special! And try them for breakfast too. Sierra, Jessica, and Amanda are some of the friendliest waitresses around. Want great home cooking- it’s the place to go!

Many folks have asked about what happened to The Front Porch.
Let me tell you true!!
First of all I’d like to formerly apologize to all the people that were affected by our actions. Since my divorce certain things have come to my attention. When it came to the restaurant I was the one that handled the kitchen and food preparation. My “wife” DeAnn was in charge of the business/administrative side of it. That means paying the Landlord, Food distributors, Utilities. Little did I know that she was not doing her part. Claiming that the bills were paid, the landlords were getting the rent. And paying back the kind folks of Monterey for any help they had given us. I had no idea what was going on. Even being on my wife’s side and defending her to everyone.
The REASON we shut our doors was that DeAnn Carlson was not paying any money towards our rent.
I feel ashamed that I let all the people of Monterey down. There are some folks that were financially and emotionally hurt by her actions.
To all of these people my sincere apologies.
If y’all have any doubts to my story then ask around town.

Went for Friday fish fry that is advertised. Arrived at 5:15 and they were out of fish. Restaurant has broken down cardboard boxes stored in the eating area. Restaurant is not handicap accessible as there is a high step at the entrance. There are better places to eat.

The staff is always hard at work to provide the best experience. The owners are very nice and make you feel like family. This a very homey vibe restaurant with great food and a great atmosphere. Go try it out if you havent already. They do tend to be busy but its worth the wait.

I totally enjoyed eating at the Porch. Great Hamburgers. Love when they have the hot roast beef. I love their Philly cheesesteak also. I am glad to see them in Monterey and hope they do well.

It was OK. Cheeseburger with bacon was OK. Fries were nothing special, didn’t even have salt. AC was down on a 95 deg day so was really hot. I couldn’t get an itemized bill. I’ll not be back
