Stopped by last Friday to grab lunch with my husband. We were seated pretty quick. It took our server a few minutes to come to the table but they were busy so no big deal. I ordered the rib-eye sandwich served w/ fried orka. It was seasoned really well, I just wished it was thicker lol.. He ordered hamburger steak w/gravy, mashed potatoes w/gravy, fried orka & mac n cheese served w/ cornbread.. The orka was fried perfectly, I loved how crispy they were

If I were the owner of this establishment, I’d seriously pay attention to customer reviews; particularly as it pertains to the Mac N Cheese. There’s literally no reason to be in the south and have a restaurant where your Mac n cheese is virtually tasteless! It taste like noodles and that’s it. Never been so disappointed; if there’s going to be no effort, just buy the boxed version and go that route.
The staff was very nice, and provided prompt friendly service. The only plus here. I wish I could recommend this place but I cannot.

We ate here for dinner recently and it was the worst food I think I have ever attempted to eat. The dressing I do not think was even put in an oven. It was raw. The seeet potato casserole had a metal taste and everything else had that same taste. I have eaten here for years but tonight was horrible and they have lost a loyal customer. I hope more people boycott so they will pay more attention to their food. I think it was 1/29 that we ate there but food should be up to par any night. Very disappointed and owner should be ashamed.

They have great service and that really is one of the most important things! It was clean. We’ve gone in several restaurants over the years and sat at a dirty table, but not here. The prices are good and so is the selection. The food is just OK. The sweet tea was delicious. All that being said, we would eat B here again because good service goes a really long way.

This was our first time. We came for my wife’s birthday because she was hankering for country fried steak. The service was great; staff were polite and professional. It was a little concerning that our waiter said they don’t like to eat there often, but okay. I got country fried steak, field peas, and macaroni and cheese. I hate it say it, but I honestly thought the food was rather bland. But my wife, my mom, and my in-laws loved it, so I’ll only knock one star. Maybe I just need to try something else next time.

This was my first time here. It’s just a place to get some country cooking. A plain room inside held about 30 square tables with four chairs at each one. The servers are all young girls, maybe college students. They have daily specials and the entire menu fits on one single chart. I ordered the chicken tenders with English peas, sweet potato casserole, and a roll. My plate came with three small tenders. The casserole was the same color as the tenders and I could hardly see it because it was a single scoop sitting right next to them. They had a lot of crunch on top. Not sure what it was exactly. The peas were in a separate bowl. The only utensils were a fork and knife. The peas were so small, that they went everywhere when I tried to eat them. I should have asked for a spoon. The chicken tenders were the absolute best! They served them with a little cup of honey mustard on the side. I wish there had been more. My friend ordered the same thing except she asked for the mashed potatoes. When they were brought out, she had to ask for gravy. Who serves mashed potatoes without gravy?

It is so hard to find a restaurant that has good food anymore. This was my first time trying this establishment and i usually give a place a second try if the first time is bad. Everyone can have…. an off day. But i don’t think this is the case after reading the other reviews. My mac and cheese was bland. No seasoning, just macaroni with yellow coloring. My meatloaf was ground beef mush with a ton of ketchup and some bread crumbs as a binder. The cornbread muffin was hard but at least it wasn’t full of sugar aka jiffy mix. Kudos to the cabbage. That along with the cake(boxed and really small compared to other meat and three places) were the only edible items. The service was fast and friendly. I really appreciate that. I understand everyone’s taste buds aren’t the same but i was not happy. Today was definitely a Monday.

It’s an awesome country diner, I love that the tables aren’t too close together. The simplicity of this place is exactly what I love about it. No neon or annoying blinking lights, no dodging incoming traffic, and the ladies taking the orders are always delightful in attitude and conversation. We love the Chicken with Gravy and the Hamburger Steak. Everything we’ve eaten here was delicious and freshly made. It’s my place of preference for a good, wholesome meal!

Mediocre is the keyword for the Front Porch, from the food to the service. You won’t get a bad meal here, nor will you get a great one. Not confirmed but I believe most good is brought in from Wood Fruticher or the likes. Good news is they taste like most of the other meat and threes in this town. Bad news, no culinary excitement. If your in a pinch this is a safe lunchtime stop, otherwise keep looking.
