The battered fish was one of the best I’ve ever had. We had whiting and flathead. We also got the muscle bucket – it was amazing, there was a great garlic butter sauce. Chips are banging. Oysters were lovely with a nicely accompanied by ginger and seaweed. Couldn’t have asked for better. 5 stars.

We have experienced the awesome fresh and cooked food here a number of times, and can highly recommend the salt and pepper squid and chips also the spectacular grilled Nannygai is a must try.

First timers here and we loved it! Great service (with a smile), stunning oysters, god I could have had dozens! Best battered fish (king fish) we’ve ever tasted. You get what you pay for and I can tell you this, the fish was the best we have had in years. Thoroughly recommend this place, we will be back a few more times before we leave!

Fish was nice, tasted fresh. But the service, price and wait time for takeaway was a huge let down.
For two people we had 2 serves of fish, and a serve of scallops which cost us $65. The fish was decent but the scallops were tiny.
We had to wait for 30 minutes and staff were a bit stand offish.
Again, nice tasting fish but a bit of a let down overall.

The Fresh Fish Place was a brilliant find. A factory-direct canteen serving fresh or cooked seafood at its best — golden-fried king whiting, garfish fillets, tender squid rings, or build-your-own platters stacked with the morning’s catch.
Our first visit hooked us (we went twice). Locals and visitors alike queue for the generous portions and outstanding value. Whether you’re eating at the casual tables or grabbing takeaway to enjoy bayside, the fish and chips are consistently delicious.

The service at The Fresh Fish Place is on a level of its own. Friendly, personable, extremely helpful staff. When calling in one of their peak times, I waited no longer than 2 rings for someone to pick-up for my phone order. And that’s not to mention the quality of their seafood. Just wow – incredible fish, incredible calamari, great Greek side salad and exceptional value for money. Will 100% be recommending to friends and family coming to the area and will definitely be stopping in again when visiting Port Lincoln (but next time will dine-in!).
