I have had the opportunity to eat at The Fresh Catch multiple times now and each time I was there the owner, Aaron Smith, did not disappoint. So far, I’ve devoured steamed catfish, blackened catfish, gumbo, red beans and rice and every single choice was extremely flavorful (and SPICY if you want it)!! They also have some great chicken options that I cannot wait to try. I will definitely be visiting for a meal again soon and I recommend everyone else does too!

I eat here once a month and have a wonderful experience every time. The food and service is great. I have had the spinners and Catfish prepared a few different ways, and have really enjoyed anything I’ve tried on the menu so far. A great place to get some real Southern fried type food. Love it!

Fantastic fish and good prices. Personal favorites are the fried catfish and blackened tilapia. The chicken is also great, thick strips of white meat with a tasty breading.
The store front is simple, and the sides can be hit or miss depending upon your personal preference, but there are plenty of choices. Will be back often.

Delicious fried catfish, hush puppies were great, my daughter liked the Mac and cheese. Friendly service. Don’t expect fast food because it is served fresh and hot as advertised. I’ve been here twice so far and will be back.

The food is amazing!!! The owner is a great guy with amazing customer service! I’m not usually a fish person but their fried catfish is AMAZING!!! And if you don’t want catfish they have chicken as well.

OMG AMAZING!!! I love the fried catfish and blackened tilapia too. I’m telling you I live in NYC and I can’t find a place out here that is anything like The Fresh Catch. I mean the food is so affordable and yummy. Everytime I’m in KC I always make a point to visit The Fresh Catch I wish they would open a chain out east.

I just had lunch at The Fresh Catch in Belton. WOW! Great tasting food, friendly folks, excellent menu choices. I highly recommend The Fresh Catch. There are so many options on the menu that sound appealing, I’ll definitely have to make several more visits. Hope to see you there.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I waited 35 minutes for a fish combo with okra and green beans and watched two other people complain while the guy behind the counter ignored them, walked away and answered his cell phone. When I politely asked how much longer, he told me 10 minutes at least. When I asked him why one meal took over 45 minutes, he belligerently told me, “Uh we’re busy.” I asked for my money back and he pulled it out of the till and threw it on the counter and walked away. I’m pregnant and all I wanted was some fresh catfish. This man was so mean to me, I was shaking and crying by the time I walked out and he couldn’t care less. Awful Awful Awful feeling.
