Tucked away chocolate shop in downtown. Plenty of variety for all taste and types of chocolate. Has a cute shop in the back to pick up nic nacks.

We stopped in based on the reviews. The shop has a nice quaint appearance. The staff is nice. It seems like the shop mostly carries Neuhaus brand confectionaries, which is a Belgian chocolatier. It doesn’t appear any chocolate is made by the shop. Not sure if everything in the case is from Neuhaus boxes??? In any event, we got 8 pieces and one truffle (a la cart) and it was $23.00. And it’s a retail outlet that asks for a tip. Ugh. We lived in Europe for a decade, so we may have been spoiled for chocolate and treats. This was ok.

Heard about The Frenchman’s Corner from a coworker, who spoke highly about it, I decided to try the artisan chocolate they offer. I also invited 2 of my sisters to come along with me. They loved the chocolate and gelato. They have so many options to choose from. I Will also have to go back to have more of the Pistachio Cheesecake, which was very creamy and tasty.

Mixed feelings about this place. Prices don’t seem to be listed on any of the items, so you will have to ask. The chocolates are reasonably priced for gourmet chocolates (~$1-3 each) and taste good, with something like three cases to choose from. Service was fast, but they forgot to package some of our chocolates. When we called about the issue, they did offer us a refund.

On the other hand, the pricing of the pastries was astronomical. The one we bought (white rose) cost $18 (!!), when I’ve had a similar pastry in Arlington, VA that only cost $11. Taste-wise, it was fine. They also offer gelato and gift boxes, but we didn’t buy any so I can’t comment on them.

The back of the shop is decently sized and has one or two tables for people to sit at, but the part of the shop that goes past the chocolate cases is very narrow. If somebody has a walker/wheelchair/stroller, or a group in front of you forms a cluster, you probably won’t be able to move past them.

Such an amazing little shop! I’m so glad we stopped in on a whim on our spur of the moment Culpepper trip. The chocolate selection is so special and the other desserts looked delicious. The sales lady was very kind and helpful. She told us a little about every chocolate we asked about, many are shipped in from Belgium or made specifically for this shop.
Such a treat!

World class chocolatier that brings the best of the best all over the world, local. Yes. That does mean its going to cost more than a Hershey bar. And wwll worth it. Only shop in our area and surrounding areas with these options and choices.Great staff. Very friendly.

We came down for our anniversary and wanted to treat ourselves to some specialty chocolates. Unfortunately, the service was not very warm. I asked about the chocolates and for some recommendations, but was met with short, curt responses. I was genuinely interested in learning more about their selection, but it didn’t seem like they were eager to engage or answer my questions. Overall, the customer service felt lacking and rushed, possibly because they were close to closing time. We still purchased some chocolates and Neuhaus which were fine.

A Burrito & Cupcake girls’ weekend stop because chocolate – need we say more?! Burrito says the display cases in the store are visually stunning. The back of the store is a little shopping area. That space may be better served with some seating to enjoy treats, because the star of this place is the treats and not the little shop items, but I digress. The chocolates are pricey, but worth it for an indulgence. Burrito’s favorite out of all the things she bought and tried was the big chocolate caramel that’s pictured . The gelato was also amazing . We tried the coffee and the sea salt caramel flavors. Omg, the coffee flavor was perfectly deep, rich, and smooth. The sea salt caramel had the perfect caramel flavor with just a hint of sea salt. Burrito is typically hesitant of sea salted caramel as a flavor because it’s typically overpowering on the salt side, but not this. The counter staff was helpful, but not really warm or cheerful – when your Burrito is buying indulgent things, she wants all the feels – welcomed, happy, cheery, excited. They were helpful but not excitedly so, which was kind of a downer. I’d go back for the gelato and those caramel yummies.

Good chocolate choices. A bit pricey and fact they don’t make them on location, a bit dissapointing. Overall very tasty chocolate.
