My first time here! The atmosphere was decent with the jazz music but definitely more of a comfy family business vibe than big corp. The appetizers we got were the jambalaya and the gumbo. The portions were so filling! I had the Crawfish Étouffée and it actually had a lot of crawfish tails! It was a little bit too salty for me but overall it was delicious. My significant other got the Cajun fried catfish with Brabant potatoes and sweet potato fries. The catfish was really tender but wish there was a stronger cajun taste. The sweet potato fries were delectable! Will have to order two orders of that next time. My friend got the smothered catfish with chicken Étouffée and Brabant potatoes and dirty rice. There was also a side order of fried okra I forgot to take a picture of but they were delicious. The batter was nice and crispy!
The desserts we got were the beignets and 7-up pound cake. The beignets were fluffy, crispy and with the sweetness of the powdered sugar, this was a 10/10 for me. The pound cake did well in its flavor description, which was 7-Up. Overall for a party of 4, we spent $108 before tip. We will be returning in the future!

I was skeptical at first since I was unfamiliar with creole food but this place was amazing! The inside had nice wall paintings and jazz music on the TV. I got the Cajun catfish and it did not disappoint. I was also pleasantly surprised by the portions they gave. People are saying I have to try the red gumbo next so I will definitely be returning to this place!

The food was mind blowingly good. Really enjoyed everything we’d gotten and have a need to go back. The crawfish boudin balls were amazing. The blackened catfish with crawfish étouffée was cooked perfectly. Same with the shrimp étouffée with fried okra. Everything came out piping hot. My wife and I were shocked they aren’t busier. We’ll worth it and highly recommend. I wish they had a bigger sign.

I went here with my client for dinner.
I had the garden salad (run of the mill salad… Homemade croutons were delicious though) and the Red Gumbo which is absolutely delicious.
My client had Jambalaya (it smelled divine) and Blackened Smothered Catfish topped with Crawfish Étouffée, Brabant Potatoes, and Dirty Rice. He also ordered banana pudding (I was way too full for dessert and I only made it through half my gumbo), he said everything was delicious!
The food takes time to come out but I’m more than happy to enjoy the ambiance and relax while amazing food magic is happening in the kitchen. Our waitress was thorough and attentive and our food was delivered piping hot and fresh.
I would highly recommend this place for a casual dinner!

The food is very good ,portions adequate. The service absolutely terrible. Staff did not take up the slack with only one cook. When food did come out (1 hour) we did not have utensils, condiments, or offering of water refill. The first time I dinned at the French Quarter was on Arnett . Would love to come again. Service must improve.

Was really happy with the food, so much so that we ended up ordering more to try as we went.
Gumbo and jambalaya as starters were great. Blackened catfish was tasty and filling. The mixed drinks were extra boozy.
Service was a little slow, but were friendly. Would definitely recommend

We had dinner here tonight. The atmosphere isn’t impressive but the food and service score top marks. We ordered the summer special salad of strawberries, cucumber, candies pecans, and salad greens; the special entree of the night of blackened red snapper (with dirty rice and fried okra); the fried catfish platter (with cole slaw and fried okra); and an order of beignets. The fried catfish and the cole slaw were delicious by all standards. The rest of the food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and a good size portion for the price. Courtney was our waitress and was helpful, attentive, professional, and friendly. I would definitely come back here the next time I come to Rochester.

Ordered the shrimp fettuccine pasta . The recipe said creamy . My pasta is nowhere near creamy: The dish was dried . I called and spoke with Courtney and asked if I could have it remade : she said there was nothing they could do about it and that the chef made it the same way he always does . What kind of customer service experience is that . She said I can pay 5.00 for a side of sauce. UNBELIEVABLE !!!! Not to mention the place looks like a hole in wall . Might as well just convert to a food truck.

We walked in and walked right back out. The pictures posted are absolutely not from this restaurant. This place looked very unsanitary. It’s run down and the bar is not a functioning bar. There’s a few open bottles on a cart that looked dirty and a handful of bottled beers in a fridge. I saw a quick peek in the kitchen and we left. The place is a John Taffer nightmare.

The food was pretty good! Server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu.
I have feedback for this establishment.
-no kids meal or kid food whatsoever? Guys, we the people have money to spend at your restaurant. I asked if they could serve my child the noodles from the fettuccini dish, except plain. They said “no”… I ended up ordering him plain bread. That is untapped profits. I’d have paid $12 for a .30 side of noodles!!
-we are two years into the pandemic. There is no excuse for serving appetizers in paper bowls, ketchup packets instead of bottles, and silverware in paper bags. It’s honestly not a good look – especially in such a gorgeous ambiance.
-no napkins or plates served with the beignets. No extra napkins with the chicken wings. You can just do better.
