I recently visited The French Press and found it to be a great spot with a lot going for it! The vibe here is wonderfully laid-back, and the ample seating options combined with the fast and friendly service made for a very pleasant experience.
I tried the Veggie Benedict, and the flavors were delicious. However, I noticed there were a few too many onions mixed in with the eggs; cutting back on those would make this dish truly shine. My meal also arrived slightly cooler than I would have liked, which kept it from being excellent. I also ordered a Cappuccino, which was well-made, but I was hoping for an even creamier, richer texture to make it perfect.
Despite those minor points, the quality of the ingredients is clearly high. I would absolutely recommend The French Press to anyone looking for a great brunch spot, as these small adjustments would easily make it a five-star experience!

Food was cold? Egg was definitely cold and maybe that just made the rest of the dish cold? Food was good and flavorful, very sweet and bacon was great, but it was simply cold.
Service was good and cashier answered questions well, it was less food than I expected.
Also a 2% credit card fee we didn’t discover until we were texted the check.

The food was sooo good and had the prettiest presentation. Juanita is so sweet and helpful and Cisco the cook is so accommodating. Perfect place for a family breakfast.

Good location of a small breakfast/lunch chain. The crab cake eggs benedict was excellent. The eggs and asparagus were both properly cooked. The drip coffee was good.

Service was fast and friendly. The space itself is large enough to accommodate around 40 or so customers. It’s not particularly fancy but was clean and nice. They had pleasant music playing at a low level.

Parking was readily available, but the small lot across the street was nearly full by the time I left.

Great atmosphere and service. Food came out very quickly and the place was extremely tidy. Great volume and seating. There was outside shaded seating, bar seating (facing the street, great for people watching), and your normal tables. It wasn’t overly loud or crowded, but we did get there by 11:30ish so the rush breakfast crowd was over.

The only thing to be improved was the that the breakfast potato’s weren’t very warm, on either of our dishes, nor were they crispy. I also got the BLAT which sounded great, and was. I switched out the whole wheat for sourdough but did notice that there wasn’t much avocado or tomato. Bacon amount was good, and the maple bacon tasted amazing!

In reading other reviews I have to wonder why anyone would describe the food as cold and still give 4 stars. My breakfast was cold, potatoes hard and obviously frozen from a bag and the sausage was a cold hard pattie. I brought my plate up to the counter and the employee stared at me and asked me what I wanted them to do about it. I said why don’t you eat it, on me. I finished my coffee (decent and hot) and left. Coming from the East Coast I will never understand why Denver restaurants can’t seem to get the food from the kitchen to table before it’s cold. It happens a lot.

I found out afterwards that a junk fee was snuck onto my receipt.

Large restaurant menu and large proportions. Even the avocado toast was piled high with an excess of fresh ingredients. Large seating area at The French Press coffee shop. They use an oven on my burrito not a microwave. Very nice.

Literally I have never in my life had a room temperature or chunky shrimp and grits in my life.

The shrimp smelled microwaved. The grits were lukewarm and had so many clumps that hadn’t been properly mixed. It was so cold the packaged shredded cheese from the grocery couldn’t melt.

This is quite literally the worst shrimp and grits I have ever had. And almost all I have ever had are really good. But this… when the smell and the taste of the shrimp is straight from a microwave? What?

And at the same price as someone like Snooze but half the quality?

I was ambivalent to agnostic about the cold reviews. Take them seriously. This place is middling 3 stars at best. This is my 3rd time in here because of proximity to my home. Just do yourself a favor and skip the food. It’s always cold and likely premade.

They have a wonderful vegan option (vegan biscuits & gravy)! Excellent service, everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. Buzzing on a Saturday morning in the best way! Our coffee and food came out quickly for how crowded it was, the food was fresh, delicious, and the coffee was decadent. They did a great job of keeping the tables clean for new customers, and the atmosphere was super charming. Highly recommend this spot. They have a few locations around the Denver area, too!
