We had a very nice brunch here this morning. When you enter, there’s a small store with farm style items to look at if there’s a wait. Everything is very clean and well organized. Overall the it is a very inviting space. Our waitress was absolutely top notch and had figured out how to be available without being intrusive.

The food was very good, with a relatively small menu. I had the smoked chicken salad croissant. It was the best tasting chicken salad I’ve ever had. I had a side of greens which were very flavorful, only the slightest bit under cooked.

We will definitely be coming back to try a few of their other dishes soon.

The French Market is a hidden gem south of the perimeter. The store, staff, cocktails, food, and ambiance are all outstanding! A great variety of cocktails and wines on the New Orleans inspired menu. Delicious food! The store has cute gifts for home, engaged couples, and newlyweds. I would recommended ordering your salad with dressing on the side as the greens looked fresher this way.

The food offered on the menu for regular lunch dine-in is pretty awful. The options were not at all appetizing. I wanted to get better food choices. In the end we got the Alfredo, but I was disappointed a lot of food was fried or deep fried or heavily grained or full of cheese. It’s not a heavy place to eat. I did absolutely love the French design. It was beautiful. I can see people want to be married there at this place. They also had good music. I’m just not a fan of the food.

Ok sooo they did a relaunch of sorts and…….. it’s still kinda blah.

They seemed to have simplified the menu but honestly the food can do with just a little more seasoning.

The county fried chicken was actually really moist which was good but it just lacked any real flavor.

The mashed potatoes were dry and had an odd taste.

Now the red beans and rice I really liked. It had a little spicy kick to eat which was really good.

My daughter who is a picky eater did like the kids pizza.

The seafood platter with shrimp and catfish really could have used more seasoning as well. It’s a really good sized potion and the fished was cooked well with the just the right amount of breading.

The staff though, was amazing! I would probably go back just because of the service honestly. Brittany the new assistant manager was really a joy to talk to and it didn’t feel like she was just talking to us because it was her job. I really like when people are genuine with their customer service.

The drinks are good as well so I would come back just for a date night at the bar.

I really want this place to do well because I like the decor and would love the idea of someplace in locust grove to go for date nights.

They just have to tweak the recipe a little bit and it would be amazing.

Check it out though because it has gotten better since my last review

My wife I visited this great restaurant based on a hotel’s recommendation. Had it not been for GPS, these out-of-towners would never have found the place…but we are glad we did! The atmosphere was old-world French meets Louisiana. Our waiter, Khalfani, provided great recommendations, including one for a nice Cabernet and he served our meals efficiently and was attentive to our needs. The green fried tomatoes were excellent, and the Alfredo Florentine was perfectly prepared. These were large portions…our only regret was that we had no room for desert! We will definitely be back when we are in town!

Perfect for our wedding rehearsal dinner. It was amazing. Decorated beautifully. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The private room was lovely with access to a charming little patio. Service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! Super quaint Southern-style restaurant with a great menu. I ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant which had a prominent smoked taste and lots of yummy goodies inside. It was hands down one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I’ve had. My son ordered ‘The Best Chicken Tenders Ever’ which was what they were literally called on the menu. When he took a bite he exclaimed, “These ARE the best chicken tenders ever!” My parents split the blue cheese burger which they said was amazing.

Beyond the food, the space also has a cute little shop with candles, soaps, decorations, etc. They also host weddings here and have a beautiful large room with outdoor patio and a newly-renovated bridal suite upstairs.

We stopped in looking for food that wasn’t “fast food” while traveling for the holidays. It was great! My Husbands burger was cook perfectly, and my 4yo liked her personal pizza.

A find on Locust Grove, GA. The French is New Orleans French. Shrimp.and grits were great. My etoufee was a little I got on crayfish. Outside patio, inside country store. Good service. Interesting drinks. Reasonable pricing. Nice drive from Atlanta for a change of venue (40 minutes south)

It was my first time eating at French Market for Mother’s Day Brunch. It was an all you can eat brunch. The plates weren’t thoroughly washed so we had to look over several to pick a clean one. Then we walked over to the so called buffet. Many of the choices weren’t available, the pans were empty. I attached photos of what was available. The grits were thick, eggs cold and the greens came straight from the can. The price 37.50. We paid $241 for food I could have bought for less than $20. Positive the restaurant building and decor was beautiful.
