Countless time we’ve been here and I feel relaxed whenever I drink coffee here at Salon de The’. The prices are cheap and it’s nice to hang out with Families and Friends. The place is different, quiet, cozy and the staff takes good care of you. I also like their breads and cakes while drinking my coffee. As for the food, my favorite here is the Spanish style Roasted Chicken which was not available at the time I was here, but instead I ordered a Pork Chop au poivre. The serving time differs like in our case, Main course would probably take some 15 minutes before serving.

– for this store, one of the baker was creating pastries behind the cashier. Don’t know if this is an intentional strategy, but I recommend for them to do this properly maybe adding a partition between the cashier.

Our experience at French Baker SM Megamall was disappointing from start to finish.
When we arrived, the place already looked topsy turvy. Several empty tables were still covered with used plates, utensils, and leftover food from previous diners. We chose an empty table, but it was in the same state. No one attended to it until we personally asked staff to clean it.
We placed our order and waited. And waited. More than 30 minutes passed with no food. We then noticed one of our dishes was delivered to a different table that had just been seated. No one informed us. We had to follow up ourselves, only to be told we would need to wait another 20 minutes because it had been given to the wrong table.
At that point, we asked for a refund on the dish and decided to leave.
The staff seemed disorganized and loud, shouting across the floor without regard for guests. The manager appeared more focused on how the bread display was arranged than on the growing issues with customer service.
Overall, it felt unprofessional and poorly managed. Very disappointing experience.

I went alone but ordered enough for two – this is nostalgic food for me and I had to have both. I admit the food isn’t exceptional in either quality or flavour; the potato bacon soup is way too salty and the burger steak has a slight smell & comes with flavourless mashed potatoes. Nevertheless, it is comfort food for me and it felt great eating some of my favourite food as a child after many years. And the staff was very friendly!

I was given the most sorry excuse for a chicken Caesar wrap that looks like a cheap “lunchable” for children and served it after 25 minutes from ordering it. So not only did they forget my order, it tasted horrible and was expensive. Coffee was good but there are so many coffee spots around and most sell their coffee cheaper than this place. I do not recommend.

Canned products reheated. Having said that very expensive for what it is. It’s edible definitely would not recommend. You can see the amount relative to the fork.

Food review first: we ordered the Chicken Ala King, Chicken Pesto Pasta, and Banana Nutella Crepe. The chicken Ala King is good but not something out of the ordinary. The Pesto was good not too oily. The Crepe was average.
Service review: They choose their customers based on clothes and I guess gadgets? If you dont have flashy things on you, you pay like you’re in a fast food chain. If you have the “gadgets” they treat you like you’re in a formal restaurant. Also, they don’t even know the proper utensils to put. They gave us spoons for the desert.
This will probably the last time I’ll eat here for a dine in.

The food is okay—about what you’d expect for the price. However, I was particularly disappointed with the service. At first, we were ignored at our seats. When I stood up and approached the wait staff to politely ask if we could order, the lady met me with a judgmental, almost disgusted expression.
When our food was finally served, the same staff member, named Queen, threw our plates and utensils onto the table. The water goblets we were given were also dirty. Some of the glassware even had old, unwashed deposits stuck to the sides (photo attached). I simply cannot make up details like these.
I was hoping the staff were simply tired, but I’ve read similar reviews here as well. French Baker Megamall, please be kinder to your patrons. I’ve been to other branches and the service is better elsewhere.

Went back to Salon de The after a few yrs. Excellent teas and good cream puff. I think we all loved our pastries but my kid’s fruit tart is tiny. I can’t even ask for a nibble, that’s how tiny it is . Nice ambiance and noise level at a minimum so more tita points. Staff seems tired but still professional.

Did not expect the service to be that worst! They served a used glass of water. And they served the orders more than 30mins mind you, we just order drinks and 2 macarons and 1 pastry which are all ready to be served from their shelf.
