Nice family owned atmosphere. The gyro was huge. My wife enjoyed the giant Polish dog. And my girls love the pretzel bites. Fast friendly service.

Just a stones throw from “The Big Mo River” in the quaint town of Fort Benton you’ll find this adorable treat! Really creamy quality ice cream, great food, yummy fries with homemade dipping sauce (the bomb), smiling cute service & outside tables with sunshine and shade if you want. Beautiful flowers adorning the outside seating. Who would ever know you’d find such a great place amongst other places too (coffee shop, etc) in a tiny little town! We love finding places like this on our travels!

Awesome place to grab a lunch and eat by the river! Reminded me of being a kid! Got a fish basket, and she got a corn dog.

I took my family to the freeze during our trip to Fort Benton, just for a snack and ice cream. The ice cream was good. And the patio area was nice too, but the place was super expensive. For ice creams for 4 of 5 people, and a couple snacks, not even any meals, it was $54.
That’s a bit much for me. It was nice to have that place though, and there’s not much competition, as the town is tiny and there are very few choices for ice cream or food at all. Their version of the Blizzard was called a Razzle, and it was good.
For the location, this place was an oasis, but compared to similar places elsewhere, it was lacking. I’d go again though, only because there was no other choices! If you are in Fort Benton and it’s hot, you’ll appreciate the Freeze, even with the cost.

The line can get very long in the peak of summer or especially during the Summer Celebration, but it’s worth it! They even made me an off-menu milkshake last time I was there (banana chocolate). It was amazing and I can’t wait to go back for another

Im Not a local, and only went once, but i very much enjoyed my coffee shake, even the small was a very good size, and it was thick and creamy. The service was good, the only reason i gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that their were only abt a dozen ice cream flavors, and while their were twice as many shake flavors, it seemed a little disappointing for an ice cream place. All of the ice cream i saw was soft serve as well, rather than scooped, but i only saw a few flavors.

Their ice cream was fantastic but my family and I waited in the scorching heat for a full 40 minutes. 20 minutes just to order then 20 minutes waiting on our shakes. If their wait time was shorter, I’d say 5 stars for sure.

This was a great place back in the day, however.. it had fallen from grace and is no longer what it used to be. The staff while somewhat friendly were very lazy, something that should have taken a few minutes took nearly 15 minutes and it wasn’t good and they were not busy. Another thing was the cost.. holy cow I could have gotten more at a DQ for the price I paid here. Needless to say I was less than impressed and if I find my way back here I won’t be stopping by.
