Amazing place, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming!
The food was delicious, got the trout dip for starters 7/10, steak and short ribs for the main dishes, both were delicious and juicy!
Lastly ended dinner with some sweet and creamy creme brulee 10/10!

Came in on a Sunday for brunch around 1030am. We got seated right away without a reservation for 2. The service was kind of slow, it was a little busy. The food was good, ordered the George Washington breakfast sandwich. It had a little hint of spice with avocado and bacon. The atmosphere was fun, full of Vikings fans headed to the game later.

We absolutely love Freehouse! Always come for brunch on the weekend. We get chicken tender bites with a side of French toast and it’s delicious. The rotisserie chicken sandwich is also 10/10! Worth every penny. Our server Hayden and the general manager, Jolene, are excellent and very sweet. Will continue to keep coming back!

Got the beet salad and rotisserie chicken — it was good! Loved the lemon goat cheese. Paired perfectly with the chicken. It was a little light on the arugula, but other than that, it was a good dish.

Good spot for apps and drinks. I liked our brussel sprouts and cheese curds!

Overall I can’t recommend Freehouse for a meal. Both entrees were bland and uninspired. The Nashville chicken sandwich was mostly iceberg lettuce and the small chicken I did get was stringy and had no inkling or heat/sweetness. Also the upcharge fries were unseasoned and squishy, like they were straight from the bag at the freezer aisle.

Service left a lot to be desired. Our server was very cold and didn’t check in outside the initial order and payment. Also took like 10 minutes to check in after we got seated. The whole meal (with no drinks) took about 80 minutes on a slow afternoon. Host and food runners were very friendly.

First time here and just walking in I was so impressed with the beautiful atmosphere. Holiday decorations were still up and it was lovely. Jed was an awesome server and all our dishes were delicious. Food came out super fast and hot. Thanks for the enjoyable dinner!

Great place for a dinner. We have spent great time here with my son. Regardless the fact that I have some diet restrictions, the staff managed to accommodate all my needs and adjusted the food accordingly. Grilled Walleye with mashed potatoes was simply fantastic. Highly recommend – we will definitely visit again. Special thanks to our waitress Kelsey – she is fantastic.

We came here as part of a large group. The service was very good, which is usually a challenge for large groups. And the atmosphere us great as well. The place is quite spacious. The food was good, not great. Same with the beer. I’d prefer to give it a try again with a smaller group.

Minneapolis food has been on point during this vacation. Came for the Yacht Club Music Festival and found some treasures of local food scene. The Freehouse is worthy of your time and dollars. In exchange you will get a meal that is full of flavors and filling. The diverse menu will delight anyone in your party.

Great atmosphere and service, but food is a hit or miss.

Fried Walleye – loved it! Good flavor overall, the asparagus and mashed potato sides were delicious.

Fried chicken sandwich – solid.

The brussel sprouts and goat cheese app was unique and delicious, we also enjoyed the cheese curds with the spicy sauce.

French onion soup – (close to $13) cool presentation but weird taste. They clearly have their own twist on the classic soup and it doesn’t work well, in my opinion. Can’t recommend.
