Fantastic restaurant! The decor and atmosphere match this place hidden away in the forest. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food tasted amazing no matter what is was. The Fox’s Feast appetizer was a great choice to try everything and the cinnamon butter with the bread was the absolute best! Definitely worth it!!

Not my first time visiting. Beautiful area and very fitting cabin style decor inside. Whiskey selection was excellent. Both of our steaks were delicious and cooked to the correct temperature. Ribeye is the steak pictured. Spinach and artichoke dip was very good as well. Service has always been excellent, and this visit was no exception. The buy 1 get 1 entree makes this place worth every penny spent. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion meal.

It would take weeks to actually see all the cool decor! Service was top notch, food was great and abundant! Make sure to wear your stretchy pants!!! It’s a popular place, so would recommend making reservations. If you’re visiting for the first time, follow the signs closely as it’s up & away from the main road. (We missed the entrance but quickly realized it & easily turned around).

Amazing family restaurant in the Holly Hill area. The drive is gorgeous, and the cabin has a beautiful history. I highly recommend reserving ahead of time and arriving about half an hour earlier. Yes, it is pricey, but the second diner, drink, or dessert is always free. We had as an entrees stuff mushrooms, and it was gone before I was able to take some pictures. The main course we had the 18 oz Porter house Steak and Roasted Duck, and it was delicious. Drinks dirty Martini and the Passion fruit Mojito. Dessert we had a Sunday melted fudge pur bill came at 120, worth it.

We had a reservation for 4:30 for a party of 5, seated almost immediately, drinks were quickly served and dinner was shortly after. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and went over the buy one get one rules. We had a great time! My son loved the spaghetti!

We had a wonderful time and everyone enjoyed their food. They call themselves a “supper club,” and although the atmosphere has lodge-type decor and feel, a key part of a supper club is missing. Namely, no relish trays.

Looved everything about this place! Steak was cooked to perfection and was seasoned well. The bread was super soft and the cinnamon butter was amazing. If you have a big enough group you steaks are BOGO free. 🙂

For the past 30 years or so we have come here a couple times a year. The atmosphere has always impressed and had that supper club feel. However, the food quality has really gone down over the years. The wait time also is an issue; you reserve a spot and still wait 30 mins or more to be seated. Drinks at least are delicious and recommend the after dinner ones.

Absolutely great experience here at The Fox & Hound. We did not make a reservation so we had a short wait. The time passed quickly as we sat at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. Once we were seated our server was fast and friendly. Our meals were excellent and we even saved room for dessert and an after dinner drink. At first glance prices might seem high but nearly every on the menu is BOGO including entrees and desserts/after dinner drinks.

Last evening we celebrated our 43 year Anniversary at the beautiful Fox & Hounds Restaurant. This place did not disappoint. It is picturesque on both the outside and inside. Our waitress’s service level was first class attention to every detail of our dining experience. Both of our King Prime Rib cuts were medium rare, which was perfect to our liking, with very little fat on them. My Strawberry Schaum Torte and my husband’s hot fudge sundae were to dye for and made for a great grand finale to our dining experience. Did I forget to mention everything was buy one get one? The older couple seated next to us was celebrating their Anniversary as well, and drove 2 1/2 hours from south west of Chicago just to dine here. They too enjoyed their dining experience. Our waitress raved about the Fox & Hounds Friday Night Fish Fry’s and suggested we return to give that a try. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely!
