Founders can have its ups and downs but always offers a healthy meal and is constantly improving. I’ve been eating there daily for 3 years now and Ive always enjoyed the food. Too many people that only ever eat their hamburgers and hot dogs complain about variety and quality.

Average food, sometimes it’s ok, sometimes it’s awful. Pretzel bites fire though. They use paper plates often which really sucks. Recently my friend got stabbed by a shard of a toothpick in his salad (see picture).

Food is left out for 8 to 10 hours without change. Some staff is consistently rude to students.

Founders has a way about it, whether it’s the under cooked PINK throughout chicken or for that matter any meat, or the burnt hamburger patties, that are just dry, and almost never warm. Or the milk that they “forgot to replace” coming back from thanksgiving break, when you take a bite of your cereal and get a chunk of curdled milk, that of course is lukewarm. The desserts are something special, they add nuts to every desert or find some other way to make it undesirable. The fountain machine is always having issues and the ice cream freezer is locked or empty when you want ice cream. Some of the staff is very friendly, but another part would probably rather be trying to find a needle in a haystack. The only place there where you can get a consistent ish decent meal is the waffle bar, but no one wants waffles that have a burnt taste to them for 3 meals a day. Please Park Hurst dining find new recipes that are half decent and hard to mess up, I dread having to eat at founders (I would say every day but that’s a lie bc some days I’d rather be hungry than eat there)… I don’t pay outrageous (mandatory) amounts of money for the most half assed food.

after eating here for 3 years, I have only had worse experiences happening. Today I walked in with HALF of the place blocked off so they don’t have to clean, I had to wait 10min for two pancakes, which were evenly raw. Thanks, I will now be throwing up. I also have had options of uncooked and somehow burnt pizza or chicken, hotdogs, and other heavy meats for lunch and dinner for all three years. They are always dry and over seasoned with salt and pepper or not seasoned at all. And somehow freshman year I got food poisoning from their SALAD. Glad I’m leaving. Thanks Parkhurst for ruining Founders.

There is almost nothing enjoyable about this place. Everything is subpar at best and the things that I could consider bearable are served once in a blue moon. I hate that I was forced into an unlimited meal plan for two years. A complete waste of my money. I hope parkhurst gets booted as soon as the contract ends. This place sucks and I can’t wait for the day that I don’t have to experience it anymore.

I have never experienced college food before however, I never imagined that such a horrible dining experience like this could ever just spawn into the world like this. The current Founders is under a contract with Parkhurst Dining Company and honestly the school could do without it. Last year was alright because the deli within founders was the only reliable source of sustinance for me. But due to COVID reasons, a more breakfast, lunch, and dinner type schedule has been set which only allows for the deli to be open for about 3-4 hours during the busiest time of day for some people. The options have only become more limited, making me rely on my personal funds for uber eats. Personally, I believe 2 stars is being generous for this horrendous service; however, it is one of my only sources of food and therefore it is still eatable. I’ll give it a 2 i guess.

Park hurst dining is awful. Literal dog water. I would recommend going somewhere else to eat at all times. Even if u have the overpriced meal plan. If ur deciding where to eat. I had an inch of water in my spaghetti once. And the pizza is severely undercooked. Eggs are watery than a 1 star hotel breakfast. If you want chips just eat a raw potato, it’s more cooked. The chicken is 50/50 either overcooked or raw. I’m not exaggerating. Why can’t we have food like Purdue?

Parkhurst has ruined Valpo dining. They are limiting the options and hours of availability. The food quality isn’t even as good as the previous dining options. If you are a student considering living on campus at Valpo, make sure you try the food to decide if you’re willing to put up with it.
