My family and I ate here for the first time yesterday (Saturday evening) for dinner while staying at a nearby airbnb. The food was delicious! We ordered Bob’s burger which was honestly one of the best burgers that I have ever had, and I am a serious foodie! The fries were crispy, and the made in house ranch was excellent.
Overall, the experience was so great that we returned the following day (today) and brought some family members too. And, once again, the food did not disappoint. I had opted for the boy bleu burger and it was good, but I still think that Bob’s burger is my favorite so far! Everything else that we tried on the menu such as the Philly, chicken strips, and coconut shrimp basket were all yummy too! The Fort will definitely be our go-to whenever we are in the area!

Been going into The Fort since moving to Washington back in 2016. Heard they were closing earlier this year and was pleasantly surprised and very happy to see they were still open and remodeled a bit. The food and the service are amazing. Highly recommend everyone stopping by there if they’re in the area. Pictured is the My Boy Blue burger (best blue cheese burger with bacon jam I’ve had), a nice cold beer and a simple sweater.

We’ve been here before but not for a long time. The food is always amazing! We went here on a Wednesday night and they were packed, we still got our food in a timely fashion and had great service throughout! Highly recommend this place. Great staff, great food and great service!

We just had the Valentine Special dinner and it was better than anyplace we have gone in Spokane. Food, atmosphere, service and friends all around. Fantastic all around. If there was more then five star for ratings, it was a ten! We will be sure to book all special events in the future. Steven and Stephanie have really upgraded The Fort since they took over. I can not say enough great things about this place! Honestly, the best home cooked southern food I have eaten since I lived in the South! This place tickles the taste buds and leaves your stomach satisfied. The portions are big, and the food is always fresh. The customer service is outstanding, too. My hubby and I stopped in for dinner on the way home from the West side. This was our first visit after the change in ownership . Our very competent and friendly server was Barbie.
We shared the 4 piece Broaster chicken with sides of fries and potato salad. Our dinner came in a timely manner, the chicken was piping hot, so we started with the most delicious hot and crispy outside fluffy inside fries I’ve ever had!! The potato was also very good. I peeled back the crispy skin on my chicken thigh to help it cool revealing juicy looking meat. After cooling a bit, I dug into the juiciest meat ever!!! Highly recommend The Fort and look forward to working out way through the menu!

11/21/24: Super glad Bob’s family stepped in and took over the place. And they’ve done what you and I would do… Improve the joint (infrastructure-wise), and continue to offer some real good country food. They represent this growing area very well. And they can keep that broaster fired up all week, Cochise…
The Seven Bays/Deer Meadows/Ft Spokane area would be even more of a desolate location without ‘Bob’s.’ Is he a cranky curmudgeon? Yup, and us non-needy people don’t care.
