The food was awesome. Fancy for a little town but we’ll worth the time and drive. Country small town feel atmosphere without the drive to the twin cities for a fancy meal.

The food, service, and atmosphere is excellent! Shannon was great to work with for our daughter & son-in-law’s groom’s dinner at the Fort! The cheesecake dessert is also delicious! We appreciate the entire staff and are thankful for their wonderful service!

What a pleasant experience!! Stopped in on a whim with my teenage son, he’s not what I’d call an adventurous eater, he got the Bacon Jam burger and said it may be the best burger he ever had. Very good everything. Cheese curds also top notch.

My husband and I had a lovely date at The Fort. The mugs for the coffee and tea were beautiful. I was so glad to have an herbal tea option. The food was tasty. The service was exceptional. We also shared a cheesecake. It was so delightful! I left without my sandwich to bring back home. The sweet gal brought it out to our truck.
Thank you so much!!

This is a great find for us. We found a 2p happy hour with great specials. They serve a great collection of craft beers and everything is homemade. We started with the Pickle Roll Ups and had the Chipotle Sweet Potato tacos w/ a side salad & Korean Street Tacos with fries. Definitely worth the time.

This was such a fun place to stop on the way from Minneapolis to Duluth. It is in the Grand Hotel which is allegedly haunted. We ordered tacos and crab cakes. Food was amazing. The tacos were very tasty with a little bit of spice and came with a side salad. And I ordered blue cheese dressing and it was the perfect lunch. The wait staff was hospitable and enjoyable and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our server was fun and checked in on us just enough. The food was excellent! I had a mushroom and Swiss burger with fresh, locally sourced mushrooms, very tasty. Hopefully in the future they can expand on outside seating. But the inside on the bar side was very comfortable/ cozy kind of. Nice vibe. We will be back and bring people from out of town too!

Clint and I ate at The Fort the other day and it was so good. This is an eclectic restaurant that started as a food truck and still has a true food truck attached to it. It seems like an unlikely spot for a restaurant and yet it is working well. The ambiance is a bit darker than I would like, but this time we sat on a high top by the window and it was great. They have a great selection of tacos and burgers; as well as appetizers and craft cocktails and beers. The house merlot is really good and it is relatively inexpensive. I loved the Korean Beef Tacos that I had and Clint had a build-your-own burger that included lots of BACON and bacon jam…yum! Both times that we have been here the service has been great and we loved meeting the owner as well. Fun to have a place like this so close to home and we will definitely be back.

I have a couple complaints: we were SO cold the entire time. The four person table is too small. We had no where to set gloves, etc. BUT out server Drew was awesome! Drinks were fantastic. Food was also pretty good! Could use a bit more seasoning in some of the items, but I’d definitely come back when in town again.

This restaurant is located inside the historical Grant House. We visited here on Friday evening. The atmosphere was great. We both ordered cheeseburgers with fries and they were cooked exactly as we asked. They had chopped onions, which is normal, but the they also had chopped tomatoes, which I’ve never seen or had! It was so delicious! Could only eat half so I heated the other half, the next day, and it was almost as good!
We had a young waitress but she did her job well. Checked on us a couple times, always with a smile. It was a full restaurant so I was impressed with how well she did her job!
The prices are maybe a little high, but everything is expensive now a days!
I definitely recommend this place!
