The Historic Forks provides a Deli, Country Store, Bar & Restaurant and Gasoline for Tourists and Locals. Established in 1875. The Forks was originally built to accommodate loggers back in the Winter of 1874 who were traveling between Fort Collins to Pingree Hill, then over the Divide to Steamboat Springs. The original building was burned in a fire, but it was rebuilt to resemble it. More recently, it has been renovated to accommodate bands in the upstairs bar area. The newly renovated bar area is upstairs and features a pool table, live music on occasional Saturday nights, and an outdoor upstairs patio! We welcome you to come and enjoy the Western-themed atmosphere in a place with a long history of serving the Livermore, Colorado area. …

On top of that, the wait staff was nothing short of amazing. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—they made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
What really set The Forks apart, though, was their generosity and heart. When two exhausted, hungry fishermen came in—after a local competitor took over 30 minutes to bring out 2 cokes—the staff here didn’t hesitate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were fed and taken care of. That kind of kindness is rare these days, and it shows what kind of place this really is.
If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t waste your time at the other spots—head straight to The Forks. Great food, great people, and a place that truly looks out for its community.
Egg salad?!?!?
BAR/RESTAURANT, different story all together….GOOD FOOD.
The wings and fries are awesome, and the employees seem genuinely happy to be there. They’re super sweet. They decorated for Christmas and it was so festive and cozy in there that we had like a three hour lunch.
We can’t wait to go back! ❤️
Over the years I’ve bought fuel, sunglasses and today the nicest woman put a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup in a grande size coffee cup and cut an extra large opening in the lid so I could sip my soup and still safely drive the Mad Max Fury Road that I-25 now is to get home to Denver.
Great souvenirs too. Not to mention ice cream and other homemade goodies.
