Place is very clean. Lots of seating for a smaller shop. They were out of brisket so we got a burger, burger bowl and a pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. All I can say is yum!!! We will be back. Highly recommended.

When you came in to the restaurant you could smell the smoked meat. Not over whelming just enough to increase your anticipation of how great the food was going to be. Which it was. The pulled pork was tasty and lean…. No fatty pieces. The FF and Mac sides were great. The fries were lightly salted with big salt what a bonus! Some of the best fries I’ve had. The presentation was excellent reflecting the care and pride of ownership. Definitely worth the short drive from Houghton or Calumet. Plenty of parking by the VA clinic and Pats IGA. Dine in.

The first thing you will notice is the smell. Smokey, savoury, beckoning you inside.

Best pulled pork sandwich I have had. Very friendly local staff. All fresh ingredients. Why get fast food when this is available for a similar price? Stop by on your way up Quincy hill.

pretty disappointed overall. The place was recommended to me while I was working in Hancock. I arrived at about 4 PM and ordered one of their signature burgers and an order of fries, to go. I was the only one in the place. Once I had ordered I sat down to wait. But… within 90 seconds I was told my order was ready, was handed a bag with my food. What does this tell you? That burger was not cooked to order, nor were the fries. Once back at my hotel I found a dried out burger on a bun that had been obviously aging in a hot box, waiting for someone to come in and have it dumped on. same with the fries, definitely not fresh, but had been sitting under a warmer for way too long. Best guess, it was left over from lunch or a called in order which was not picked up, but… definitely not cooked/grilled to my order. That’s the sort of thing a fast food joint does. I am sorry, but selling a burger like that will not get good reviews if looking to be elevated above fast, dried, and questionable food. this practice does not bode well for sustained business.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in awhile. Brisket was fantastic and you have to try the tots, far different than any I’ve tried and delicious. Owner and staff are awesome!

Honestly amazing BBQ. I wasn’t sure what to expect but probably the best brisket I’ve had outside of TX. Definitely worth a stop and their pulled pork is also delicious.
