After our recent ice and snow, I finally was able to get out of the house and headed to this wonderful restaurant. The staff/owners are always friendly and listen well to each customer’s requests. What delicious soups they have that are specially made for a cold day like today. The choice to make is challenging because they are all have wonderful, unique tastes.

I had the chicken corn soup and loved every spoonful of it. It reminded me of the chicken soup Mom used to make on a cold, snowy day.
I have also loved their entrees which are specially prepared along with their appetizers. The egg rolls and crab ragoon are crunchy and are filled with very special fillings that are satisfying when you are hungry.

It us a calm, quiet family-oriented dining environment. The customers are all respectful to
Others. I have dined here for years and enjoyed every dining experience! I am appreciative that they were open today for business.

The service is timely and feels genuine. The atmosphere is gentle and welcoming, and the food…
I came here a handful of times as a kid and remembered the food to be great. But my most recent visit with my new bride has cemented in my mind that Forbidden Garden serves the best Chinese food I have ever had. The egg drop and wonton soups are delicious. The sesame chicken was perfect. I found more nostalgia on that plate than I do on most Christmas mornings. I felt like Anton Ego taking his first bite of ratatouille. Entering this restaurant felt like returning to your childhood home and finding your room just how you left it, and leaving was just as emotional. Nothing has changed.
I will return every chance I get, and I would implore anyone fortunate enough to live nearby to make this a habit. I am pleasantly surprised and strangely proud to see this husband-and-wife restaurant flourish in its age. I ask anyone looking for a peaceful meal to leave their troubles at the door and taste the life and love that this couple abound in.
Thank you so much.

This restaurant has the most delicious food served by the sweetest people! We left with full, happy bellies, and the cheap prices seemed too good to be true. This is truly one of those rare places that still puts heart & soul into making the food.

Very competitive prices, clean interior. Service was fine.

Food was very prompt, and flavorful. Hot and sour soup was one of the best I’ve had in the area. Hunan chicken extra spicy was the bees knees. I didn’t have any issues or complaints, I’d come back again for sure.

Authentic Chinese! We tried combination fried rice, chicken (shrimp) and sizzling rice soup, general tso chicken, basil chicken, crispy beef, cho cho beef, and fried shrimp. Everything was superb. You will not be disappointed. Very friendly service!

Edited.
We came back again, and everything tasted great! Added new pictures.

Received wrong dinner should be (ORANGE chicken ) it was so HOT when I ate one piece of chicken I thought the skin was coming off my lips. It was awful and everything was dry. No sauce just lots of hot RED peppers on the top. Maybe the order was wrong? There was supposed to be shrimp rolls and eggrolls. They were all the same, and the only thing inside was diced WHITE
cabbage nothing else. It’s gross and it’s going in the garbage .no dumplings Very upset about this food that was so awful

The service could have been better. The man, who was I think the owner, didn’t say one word to me or even look at me the entire time I was there and the waitress needs to work on being friendlier. I do appreciate the fact that the place was very clean and nicely decorated. The dumplings were extremely greasy and the egg fu young was terrible to me.
