The Foood Spot Jamaican Restaurant is take out only but do not let that fool you because this place delivers seriously amazing food. You can tell right away that the chef truly knows his craft and cooks with real passion. Every bite tastes like there is a story behind it and I would not be surprised at all if some of these recipes have been passed down through generations because the flavors feel authentic and full of tradition.
Customer service is excellent and the wonderful lady at the front desk is truly passionate about making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. She goes above and beyond to make sure your order is right and happily offers suggestions on dishes that are absolutely worth trying. You can tell she genuinely cares that you leave satisfied and smiling.
The food itself is incredible rich flavorful and cooked perfectly. Portions are generous enough that you might plan on saving some for later but honestly it is very hard to stop eating once you start. I tried to think of at least one negative just to be fair but I could not come up with anything.
If you are anywhere near The Foood Spot do yourself a favor and stop by. It is a must try with amazing people and unforgettable food. Easy five stars from me.

This Jamaican restaurant is an absolute gem! I haven’t had authentic Jamaican food like this since I lived on the island (Visitor, Non Native). Every bite brought me right back Negril—it is so fresh and genuine.
I ordered the jerk pork shoulder, collard greens, and the vegan red peas and rice with coconut milk and everything was amazingly delicious. I almost forgot that Scotch bonnet pepper hits as hard as it does, but oh my God, the heat was perfect! I also got the cocoa bread as a side; it was served hot and even came with a surprise side of plantains that I wasn’t expecting but absolutely loved.
To top it off, the girl at the counter was incredibly friendly and had such a great personality. Pro tip: make sure to order directly from their website so you don’t have to pay the inflated prices found on DoorDash or UberEats. If you’re looking for the real deal, this is definitely the spot!

So i was excited about finding a Jamaican spot in the area i was but i have to say i was disappointed some . The Rasta pasta was dry, there was barely any sauce and the noodles were not all the way done , they were way too hard . The beef patty i started to think it was good until I realized they weren’t homemade patties . The Mac and cheese was the first thing i tried and since that was food i figured my pasta would be as well. I spend about $40 in there just for my lunch and ended up not likening half the order . The customer service was great though

A bang for your buck! I got the chicken curry and beef patty! So flavorful and the perfect amount of spice!!! The chicken melts in your mouth which I love. On top the fact I saw this place going to college and was like I need to order after class. Got stuck in traffic and the women who worked there was so so so sweet and understanding and waited 15 min after close because I didn’t know they close at 3pm. Definitely coming back not just because of the food but because it seems like they are real kind people in messed up world we live in!!! <3

The food was flavorful and the portions were good. The oxtails were big and the gravy was delicious. The yams were sweet and big as well. Cabbage and Gouda Mac n cheese were delicious.A little pricy but worth it. Very clean place and the woman at the counter was very nice. Would definitely recommend and go back.

This is one of those neighborhood spots you’re genuinely happy to find. The oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, the jerk chicken had a good kick and flavor (not just spice), and their beef patties just hit the spot! Portions are generous, everything tastes fresh and authentic, and you can tell care goes into the food. The space is clean, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the value for the quality is excellent. Easily a local favorite I’ll keep coming back to.

Just moved into the neighborhood and was thrilled to see a Jamaican restaurant in the area. I was even more thrilled when the food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious. It’s definitely spicy (because it’s authentic people!) on the jerk chicken but the flavors are wonderful. The Mac n cheese was delicious and I absolutely love the cabbage. I made the decision to get a side of the oxtail gravy and boy I am happy I did, you could put it on an old shoe and it would taste good. I’ll definitely be back and you should support a local mom and pop also!
