We stopped by this cute brunch spot and enjoyed the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. We also got the dodo bird which was good, and the fried tot rockets were pretty good as well. The cheese skirt they come on was delightful! The service was great and the atmosphere had such a cool vibe. The bloody Mary’s could use some spices and a bit more mix but overall happy with our choices.

So glad a coworker told me about this place. Definitely a foodie place! The Monte Cristo my wife had was amazing, it’s made from a donut and has delicious blackberries on top! Wow. Also had the East coast with lox and dill & caper cream cheese with some tasty pickled red onions and field greens. Again Just wow!! Definitely worth the stop if your a foodie or just enjoy amazing tasty food!!

10/10 — Absolutely incredible! You can taste the love in every bite. It’s rare to find a spot that cares this much about quality ingredients and flavor. The staff was amazing, and the owner even came by to offer us extra sauces and drinks — such a genuine experience. We’ll definitely be back. We got the tot rockets, the awesome breakfast sandwich, and the everything bagel with bacon only. SO GOOD

I found The Foodie Cafe while looking for places in the area that have monte cristo sandwiches, my mom’s favorite. We haven’t found any that dip the whole sandwich, but my mom said that The Foodie Cafe’s donut monte cristo was the best she’s had of all of the monte cristos in Chico. She appreciated that there wasn’t a weird sauce on it, like the one at Cheesecake Factory, and said that the donut gave it the same vibe as the whole thing being dipped in batter rather than just a sandwich on French toast. We both enjoyed the fresh fruit that came with our food.

The atmosphere is nice. Chill spot. Super fast service from a friendly fella. The food is bold. Good flavors. The fries were delicious and if I would critique at all I’d say they need way more garlic. Good pastrami sandwich.

This restaurant to its roots out by the airport. Excellent menu. Items the own created. Make the drive it is totally worth it. They cater as well. Looks they are setup for events at their location. Just an all around great experience.

Rave for foodie cafe! This is my third time eating here and I’ve been thoroughly impressed every time! The owner Boyd clearly genuinely cares about every step of the process from picking fresh and local produce, avoiding unnecessary preservatives by making smaller batches more frequently, guiding each customer through option and favorites, even down to saving any waste and donating it to the local hog farm to be consumed by the pigs. It s breath of fresh air to see a business ran this way in a world that’s increasingly more and more difficult to run a business. It doesn’t hurt that the food is ridiculously good, hot, fresh, and oh so delicious! Looking forward to coming back and trying out the pastrami and homemade milkshakes!
