The Folly is a bit of a hidden gem in Greenwich. It combines a gastropub front with a sexy back that made our special occasion even better than anticipated. We celebrated my best friend’s engagement there last night and we couldn’t have asked for better drinks and food. Overall the atmosphere was great though I will say it is a bit darker than most places I’ve been to so be prepared to deal with that if you’re looking to take pictures or see the menu etc etc. Our bartender that evening was great and was quick with a drink and a joke which I always enjoy. I unfortunately cannot say the same thing about our server. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume like any of us, she probably had a bad day overall. Nevertheless, it was definitely a bit shocking to see and hear how abrasively she spoke to my fiancée.
Overall, we will definitely be going back to this spot whenever we’re in the area. The ambiance, service from the bar, and food were definitely top notch.

We were a party of 26 celebrating our niece’s wedding, and this venue could not be more perfect for our size group. They also have a photo booth there that takes fantastic pictures, and every one was enjoying that too! I missed out so I can’t post one. Great food, music, and friendly professional service. 🙂

An unexpected surprise (those are the best) that we found for happy hour ahead of a dinner reservation in the area. Sea-themed place with lots of rum drinks. Plenty of other options as well. Really fun place. Will definitely re-visit soon.

Hosted our engagement party here a few months ago and had an incredible time. The floor-level back space was perfect for our group of 30ish people, and we were able to set up some of our own decor as well. Aron was great at helping us coordinate. Service was excellent and they accommodated everyone paying separately at the bar. Great music, sick vibe, & love a frozen painkiller.

The Folly is the perfect place to celebrate Halloween! The cozy, wood-paneled, ship-like vibe makes it an ideal spot for a fall happy hour in October or November.
We came with a large group, and the service was excellent. We ordered the fries with aioli, arancini balls, peppers, and burgers — everything was fantastic. The drinks were also great and prepared quickly.

I was here over the weekend and I had such a fun time ! The ambiance was lively and full of great energy — the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. The music was spot-on all night, keeping the vibe upbeat without being overwhelming.
But the real highlight? The drinks! Every cocktail was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious — all thanks to the amazing bartender, Lester. He really knows his craft and made the whole experience unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back!

Tucked away with coastal charm and laid-back vibes, The Folly is the kind of place that turns a casual meal into a mini getaway. From the second you step in, you’re hit with that breezy beach-town energy—easygoing, vibrant, and totally unpretentious. But don’t let the chill atmosphere fool you—this spot knows how to bring serious flavor.
Let’s start with the Painkiller—a tropical cocktail that lives up to its name. Made with a smooth blend of rum, pineapple, orange, coconut cream, and just the right touch of nutmeg, it’s the kind of drink that makes you forget your to-do list and contemplate moving somewhere warmer. It’s sweet, strong, and dangerously easy to sip. If paradise had a signature cocktail, this would be it.
And then there’s the burger—juicy, bold, and built for indulgence. It’s stacked high with all the classics, but what sets it apart is the attention to detail: perfectly toasted bun, crisp lettuce, melty cheese, and a patty that’s cooked to juicy perfection. It’s the kind of burger that silences the table because everyone’s too busy enjoying every bite.
The Folly strikes the perfect balance between comfort food and coastal flair. Whether you’re just stopping by for a drink or settling in for a full meal, it’s got that unforgettable flavor-meets-feel-good combo that keeps you coming back. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers both vibes and taste—this is it.

I threw a joint birthday party for about 75 people in their back spaces, and it was fantastic. Management was incredibly friendly, personable, and flexible. The food and drinks were great. The ambiance was fun, stylish but unpretentious. They had two levels so that helped with flow. They use a curtain to divide the party space from their public space. We only used one side of the curtain, so there was some freedom to move about. Our waitress was incredibly helpful. People were also able to order from the bar and do separate checks. Management let me run a playlist as long as it was diverse and vibed with their place – it did! The manager was also able to give us a discount on the minimum for the party since it was a Sunday night. Hosting a birthday party in NYC can get expensive and obnoxious, but the Folly made us feel so welcome. It’s a great spot for a chill night out drinking and certainly for hosting parties!
